Ofcourse you can. Do what you like. Dress the car up in neon lights lights and wrap stickers all around it. whatever makes you happy.
But I can guarantee you that 99% of all people don't like it. If they did, they would have done it to their own cars by now. Your the first for a reason.
Don't believe me? Put a vote out there to see who is tasteless enough to bolt plastic sheets to their wheel arches, to make it look "Wow look at my car its SO FAT". There's already a proper wide body kit...it's called an M3.

Man it's people like you that ruins the car community. Just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean others won't appreciate it. I did it for myself and im sharing it for people who also looking at doing the same. Im here to share my experience and what I know and what I've done to achieve the result that im happy with. And to be honest, I cant hold in my excitement for when I pick it up tomorrow. Car culture is appreciating what people have done to their cars and if you don't like something then it doesn't hurt to keep your negative judgements to yourself.

And people haven't done it to their own car because it's a cunt of a job to do. It's expensive and time consuming. I've been lucky enough to have a friend thats a very skilled panel beater that's willing to take on this task for me at next to nothing.

You need to wash it and give us some better photos all clean and shiny.

Did the whole thing get resprayed again? Do I recall you saying that would happen after the WB?

I think it looks great!
One thing I may have personally done if I were to do the same would be to put some body filler on the screw holes to cover them giving it a more "flush" look.
Though removal of the kit would be near impossible without damaging it.

Got tired of the hard vacuum line hanging over my engine so replaced it with braided flexible hosing.

It’s ironic you bring up horses.

Back in the day, some horse enthusiasts were sitting around the camp fire after a hard days work. One guy says “you know I keep thinking, my horse has a kinda weak stance, I wish I could widebody it”. One of the other blokes is like “woah, woah there, dude wtf this is how horses were supposed to look” *points to his horse*. The guy replies “yeah nah, look mate I just want something different, and if it were wider with bigger hooves I could put the power down better too, pull heavier loads and be more productive”.

So what do you get when you put the equine equivalent of a liberty walk kit on an otherwise ordinary horse?

And that’s how Clydesdale’s came about

ride and handling is fine as its still on stock suspension. steering is very gokarty due to the wide front wheels. i cant full lock though. need to go back in on wednesday for them to shave more off the front. that with my air suspension should be able to full lock if i raise the car for parking or 3pt turns
