If you want to go more flushed you can do 18x8.5(+20)/9.5(+20) but this will depend on what size tires you are going to use. These sizes will put the RIM (not tire) 1mm away from the fender. But if you use the 225/255 tire sizes you SHOULD be good

I've had my car for two years and have never checked tire pressure or had a low pressure warning. Either Sara drives bat-out-of-hell crazy 24/7 or her car really is a lemon. Driving a Mazda 3 now while Vader is in the shop. Almost got killed jumping into traffic...pedal to the floor ...and nada. I almost actually stomped the accelerator through the floor trying to get the car to move!!! I just waved at the car that nearly rear-ended me and shouted..."Sorry, my other car is a BMW"

Mike, I feel you on the loaner. I was stuck with a chevy impala that I couldnt figure out how to turn the courtesy light off and had to call Enterprise. We really do get spoiled with our nice cars. |

I don't think its a certain pressure I think it when the pressure changes 3 (maybe 5) psi from what the pressure was when you reset the sytem. Could be wrong but I think thats what it is.

Tuesday TPMS warnings went off.. So I drove to his house and we went to the gas station. He accidentally filled both fronts to 30 and both rears to 40.. Reset TPMS. Tuesday evening, I didnt feel right with the way they looked. Had Phuoc meet me at the gas station where we realized the mistake and aired up both fronts to 38 and both rears to 45. But never reset TPMS..and TPMS did not go off when I drove off even though we changed the pressures a fairly good bit Wouldnt that much of a change in the fronts, 8 psi increase over what is was set to trigger TPMS to go off or no?? Or is it soley when the pressure is BELOW average and not above? **Dont flame me, Im trying to learn** Last edited by Sara; 04-27-2012 at 10:07 AM.. |

I guess my next question is, is there a way to look up in the iDrive what the TMPS measurements are set to? I went to Vehicle Check Status but all it gave me was vehicle check ok and the tires were lit up in green. No actual number.

Mine goes off @29psi. Once over 29, it doesn't alarm anymore.

I'd browse through the manual to see when its best to reset the TPMS. I thought it only needed to be reset whenever you change wheels but I haven't had to deal with that yet (knock on wood). |
