Wow, these CA's have balls. They have absolutely no control over the VPC and they have very very limited information while the car is there. My last BMW sat in the VPC for a good week, and even when it was "released to a truck" it took two more days to leave.

Not that it isn't possible to have a quick turnaround and get the car to your dealer within the week, and we're all hoping that is the case... just know that it could be longer.

The more cars going to your dealer or others in the area helps too. Finding a truck to deliver one car is harder... it's all about the logistics and the cost.

Last time (also with Westchester BMW) my car spent 2 days at VPC and 1 day waiting for track. Of course it does not mean this is always the case. You guys are right, until cars are done with VPC our CA's can only speculate on the delivery date. Probably with as much confidence as us speculating here. I think it is POSSIBLE that we'll be getting REAL delivery dates early next week if we are lucky. So close yet so far away ...

Latest update for Maersk Teal passengers: unloaded 3/22, entered to VPC 3/23, ETA for VPC completion 3/28 (if there is no issues), delivery is looking very promising for this weekend. :rocks:

Where did you get this info? Particularly the 03/28 date. That would be G R E A T!!
I just hope my baby will be able to catch a ride up to new england fast!

On another note, when I go to the OC website, I cannot find the order tracking anymore!! and yes, I have logged in and all! No clue what happened to the link that used to be there!!

I even tried to find something on the FAQ tab but the directions still didn't get me the order tracking info....it used to work 2 weeks ago!

OC still works for me NP (status "in transit" and I remember it was still saying in transit two weeks after I got my car ) so it is not much help at this stage. The only (and I might add limited) visibility now is thru your CA, your won knowledge of the process and your CA overall experience level. Please take any ETA I post with a grain of salt -- it is an "estimate" only. I think I've been very accurate in my estimates so far but it is not a guarantee ... If you see a date or event in my post than it is a fact as I was able to discover it or was told by my CA, 800#, OC and etc. If you see an ETA than it is my judgment call, CA estimate and etc. Having said that I am hoping on driving my new car this weekend.

I'd expect it to apply to all bimmers on Maersk. The 3/28 date is a trade secret and if I share it with you than I'll have to kill you Now, seriously I got this info from my CA. He said that he expects to see status change tomorrow or Wed -- therefore I said 3/28 ETA. This also make sense to me based on my experience and in a way this what I wanted to hear so, here it is "as is" take or leave it. One way or another we’ll see if I was right or wrong in a day or two.

Pink, most certainly you should be happy. Your bimmer is here and you are going to finally get it in just few days. I know it sounds difficult to believe but you will have good memories and even (possibly) miss the wait and anticipation very, very soon. Just enjoy it. Go thru last minute check: did you get your Zaino, do you know how to use it, are you going to clay bar your new baby before, are you going to do clear bra, tint, any mods and etc?
