Any update from anyone on the Progman s/w update that fixes RTTI????? I haven't heard back from my SA about it yet...still waiting for a call from him saying they have a fix for it. This sucks!

Paging SteveMD, CPTHALL, bigcracker22, ksfrogman and cdp1276
Have any of you had any developments this week, or are you still waiting for a solution to your loss of Voice Recognition after the update? What are your service advisors telling you now? Thanks Mike

i have a jan 06 build car. ive never paid attention to these program updates, and ive never gotten any updates. do i need to have any "problems" in my car for an update? or can i just call my dealer and make an appointment? and does it have to be the dealer where i got the car from?

I have .04 now, and they said that they will give me a call as soon as they have a fix for now. For now, I am just living VC for a while. But really like the search by name in POI, but as far as performance goes, I dont really see a big difference, maybe because I have a 2006 august build.

OK, so I got my car back today with a PuMA case results. Here is what they say, "Due to some issues with importing enabling codes in several E90's we need you to send us this CCC. We will import the codes and repair SVS functionality, then send the CCC back to you. Naturally, this would mean the vehicle will be without a CCC during the time it takes to ship back and forth and import codes (probably between 3-7 days).
I realize this isn't an ideal situation but it is our only solution at this time." It ships to NJ for repair. I want to wait and see if they can fix this via software. Seems crazy to me to do this and I suspect I lose all my data on it or saved settings. Anyone else have different news for getting VR working again under v25.00.04?

Sorry to hear that. Looks like I'll hold off on asking for a software update.

I would think BMW doesn't want a PR nightmare on their hands if this leaks out and effects ALL updates.

Umm, yes, it is. E90 refers to body style. Not engine. #1 noob mistake
Anyway, someone was paging me? I called my service guy on Thursday and they still didn't have the fix in for my loss of VR after 25.00.03

I got my car back a few days ago. Unfortunately, it doesn't say exactly which Progman version was installed. It looks exactly like the photos others have posted of version 25.XX.
The first time I picked up my car, I had a newer version of the iDrive software, but the voice recognition was not working. The repair slip for the 2nd repair simply said "CCC removed and sent to BMW NA for reprogramming". Its a good thing my dealer is only 5-10 miles from BMW NA At least everything works perfectly now.

Present that complaint and BMW requires that your dealer update your car to Progman 25.00 or higher.

Do they keep the car at the shop while the CCC is in transit between BMWNA and the shop, i.e. is the car even driveable? If so, what is lost when the CCC is removed? I suspect quite a bit of the iDrive funcionality and all voice, including Bluetooth, right?
Thanks

From what they told me they need to keep the car. She said she could put me in a loaner for the week. I don't think the car can function without the CCC but not 100% sure. I agree with you that a lot of functionality would also be lost.
