Some JHPs might be more useful than waterguns or rubber slugs... Good luck cleaning this up guys. I work in London half the month and would prefer if you could get one of my favorite beer drinking destinations all back in proper order for me. I've been stimulating the British economy for years - one pub at a time. In all seriousness, be safe guys. Protect the family, save the Bimmers and throw those jaggoffs in jail... or shoot them. |

problem is this wont stop, and someone totally is going to die/be killed in the next couple of days unless some action is taken, whether it be a stabbing or the burn alive in their house.
I think its been said already, but set a curfew, and for those who dont meet it, your fair game for bullets, electricity, whatever. Of course this doesnt stop anyone destroying there locality prior to the curfew! what I cant understand is why these people are destroying their own neighbourhoods?! |

Their parents must be so proud.... really sickening.
But they are destroying their own communities - says a lot for the future generation coming through, and what they believe is right and wrong.

Those of you saying "shoot them".....get real. I mean, what do you want? Rooftop snipers picking off anyone wearing a hoodie? We don't execute people for crimes against tasteful clothing in the UK. This isn't bloody Syria for christsakes. Curfews, tear gas, water cannon.......if the latter two are good enough for Ulster, they are good enough for here. Still, at least tomorrow's pointless friendly at Wembley has been called off. So not all bad, then. Mike. |

Police do need to something extreme such as the water cannons, water bullets to slow the activity and show that they will be met with the long arm of the law. Official line is there are no water cannons...... so the police have plastic shields and helmets to help control the riots alone, good planning; for all the extremism that exists in our country you would think they would have plans for every scenario, same as you run a business, plan, plan, plan.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14459008 Cameron "to these people...you will feel the full force of the law" ..... seriously? There will be arrests, approx 450 at the moment but what will be the outcome? An ASBO? A fine? They certainly need to be made an example of to nip these actions in the bud. Cameron "not only are you wrecking other people’s lives, you are wrecking your own" we now have to shell out for extra police and the insurance costs of repaired are going to be daft. |

Police say that the dealer shot first. One bullet (whether the first or not) hit a policeman. His radio coms stopped the bullet he was only wearing a stab vest. That is pretty much the brunt of it. This is their excuse to loot. Uh oh the prostitutes are in for a beating then?

It now looks likely given reports that he did not fire a gun (that pre-supposes he had one), and was killed by a single gunshot. It also appears likely given latest reports that the bullet lodged in the police radio was surprise surprise... a police bullet. Ironically, the police probably thought they were making the streets safer by getting this guy out of the picture... assuming he was a gun-totting drug dealer. But let's wait and see. It really wouldn't be the first time that police have mucked up in this manner... Ian Tomlinson, Menenzes etc etc... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ad-police.html |

tbh....its just similar shite to what goes on over here but doesnt get broadcast so much. Granted, on a larger and more seemingly coordinated scale.
There are places in Belfast that are almost daily an assault course over bricks, bottles etc just from the previous nights rioting. J |
