I thought it would have been gigabytes not megabytes worth! But if it's just 2mb that's pretty small. Anyone had any issues with their engine since flashing with MHD? Also, it looks like you can't buy the map or the flashing module unless you're connected to the car and the device has picked up the ECU signal? So I'm guessing that you'll need wifi when you're connected via tablet to download both? (phone would be ok with just cellular signal)

It does however show up which mechanical parts are not doing their job - just had to replace boost solenoids and what not. Also tyres don't last long anymore. |

Mines not running so good since flashing to the 5.2 test maps, raced a 135i on the highway the other day and on the second pull i got SES and misfire. Pulled codes and got misfire cyl 5 and glow ignition cyl 6 which from what im reading is a excessive knock code. Been told it means the map is too aggressive for the car which is strange as im running the stage 1 map and the correct octane on a stock car, so it should be fine. I know my injectors are leaky and i will receive my 6 new ones monday.
Would injectors on the way out be a possible cause for the knock code ? or are they unrelated. |

There have been some reports of peps having issues with version 5 maps. I'm still running version 4 maps without a problem, Be interested in what Scotty and Harmsy are running and if they see any issues |

Have you tried swapping the faulty injector to a different location to see if it follows? How are your spark plugs and coil packs? |

Sweet..... does that mean you have to run E60 all the time or do you just switch to an OTS 98 map when you want to run 98?

Im not too keen to go and swap it and flog it on the hwy again to see if the knock happens again, i would definitely not like to get that code again. Im putting 6x brand new injectors in on the weekend or Monday. Hopefully that sorts things out, otherwise ill be doing the coil diagnosis. |

There is a map for completely stock cars(there's 2) And they both liven up the car substantially One is for 98oct(labeled 93 as its American) The other is 95 octane(labeled 91) |

I should update here, the misfires and troubles i was having with mhd are resolved, i whacked in thise new injectors and all was well, then got another misfire after a few days and that fixed that misfire with a new ignition coil only for another misfire to happen on another cyl. Every time i replaced a coil the next one would fail so to anyone replacing coils i would suggest doing all 6.
Car pulls beautiful now, so happy with it. |

So, just to confirm, when I flash, I do NOT switch on my car, but use battery charger connected to the car? And have the lpfp fuse removed? (I wonder why the lpfp will work if I haven't started the car yet) Another thing is: when I select parameter monitoring, I assume that I need to keep the OBD port connected to the android device, and there is no way MHD can do wirelessly like bmwhat app, am I correct? For parameter, may I ask what are the common ones to keep an eye on? I saw article saying that by looking at some parameter readings, you can tell if your car is potentially having issues. Just want to know what are the common parameters to look at and what are the bottom line values of these parameters? Many thanks. |
