ok, then let me rephrase my question a little bit..w/ the turbo upgrade i'm considering, the general consensus is 550whp. if my car was, in fact, making 550whp on pump gas & i added meth, i'm assuming it would put the car around 600whp, is it a legit concern that at 600whp things are going to start breaking, IE: rear end, tranny, etc..Would it be cheaper & safer in the long run to keep the meth out & be happy w/ the added power on pump from the turbos..

If you really wanted to stay at your estimated figure, you could always run meth and use a lower boost map... essentially making it "easier" on your engine/turbos to make that same power.

that's a good point! unfortunately, my brain just doesn't work logically when it comes to things like that, lol, if i have something that could potentially make an extra xxwhp the thought doesn't even cross my mind to not utilize it's potential! but i definitely could run a lower map & then throw on the higher maps when the occasion arises..

Meth > pump gas... Meth will clean better, keep things cooler, etc. The benefits of running it over pump gas are there, even if your running it on a lower map, cleaner, cooler, better power as you would on a higher boost/map, with a lower map/boost.

worst case scenario, you could always mount in the engine bay in the window washer fluid reservoir, you would have to refill the tank more often but it is a possibility in case it doesn't fit..

wow that might work...As earlier in my post I meant the back of the trunk and not the sides, the sides are taken up by the convertible top, so in essence I only have space for something that is less than 10 inches in height, which makes the 2.5 gallon tank a good possibility!!
