That was a relatively small defect, and he went out of his way to fix it. I haven't heard of any real failures yet so I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

What qualifies someone as a "real turbo manufacturer"? As far as I know every turbo vendor on this platform are assembling parts made by others with some doing a few machined parts in-house.
He claim how many set sold? 20,30,40?

A relative small defect? Caused failure, and big enough deal to recall..

Where is the result? 20-30-40 set sold..

1 car does 700 hp post 1 clip and now where did it go?

For a vendor who gained the following on this forum, off to me zero result shown but personal car and 1 other.

Not everyone lives on the forums.

At least he stands behind his product in case there's an issue...that's all you can really even hope for these days.

Minimal amount of 3rd party parts, everything else done in house.

He certainly lived off it. His big following is here.

From what i have been informed of, there is issues.

This is a pure thread, not mmp, perhaps I can make a different post, showing and detailing the conversation and picture I have seen from them. Shotty work to say the least of it.

Odd behind is product went from full labor cover to now 1/2. Pot of cash shrink I guess when it's happening frequent and more

I am not saying that Pure are bad at what they do, but it seems that all aftermarket turbos start rattling a lot earlier than the stock factory turbos. I have friends with Hexons, RB turbos and they all rattle slatted very few thousand kilometres (miles).

But at least Pure turbos don't smoke like the other suppliers!

My question is, how come the stock turbos can last a lot more before they start rattling, compared to all the aftermarket turbos? Aren't they all just TD03 turbos with the same wastegate design anyway?

My stock turbos have only started rattling at 88,000 miles, and now I am looking for a replacement, but it looks like I'll be buying brand new OEM TD03 instead of any aftermarket offering! Just because I value reliability too much.

*I am only FBO btw

I think you might be referring to my PS2s here mate
I can confirm they been on the car for less then 12 months
WG are rattling and they are starting to smoke
Problem is to have them checked by Pure, they will need to be pulled off the car and posted from Australia to the USA.
I cant be without a car for weeks let alone the $3000 to remove and reinstall plus the additional $700-$800 in shipping costs....
I switched from a smoking set of RBs to Pures for because of their reputation and reliability, hopefully something can be worked out...
That sucks mate, yeah I was referring to your car actually.

After hearing it at Haunted Hills, I was pretty surprised how they rattled after only a year and ~10,000km!!

If the stock turbos last roughly ~100,000km-150,000km before they start rattling. I would expect all the modified TD03 aftermarket turbos like RB, Pure... etc. to at least last as long, if not longer.

I hope everything goes alright with the single top mount, seems like the way to go now reliability-wise.
