I'll still try to make it, weather and work permitting. I put my summer wheels/tires on this weekend in protest of winter, so if there's snow on the ground I couldn't make it even if I wanted to. Hopefully the storm decides to avoid us!

I won't put my summers on for various reasons right now but main one is potholes scare me and my wheels

Agree @GTiceman , I was waiting but I hit a pothole last week with my winter setup at night in Bucks County (hit so hard I thought my front end was gone). So, for better or worse I decided to make the change to summers this weekend and drive sparingly and cautiously for the coming weeks while I get this repaired or replaced.

So mad. Brand new PS A/S3 tire bought in Nov! Sidewall bubbles are not repairable, right? Luckily no visible rim damage.

It was his friends Spec E36. He was going to be co-driving the car for the 12 hour at NJMP in April. He'll have to attend another event to get his license and hopefully get the car repaired in time.
It was on Lightning.

I've actually only gone off twice ever - and both were in the 4 hour BMWCCA Endurance race in August. Once I got into the marbles trying to square the track off too much coming out of the lightbulb. Slid right off the track doing about 110mph! Luckily no one else was around and just went straight till I slowed enough and eased back on track.
Second time I hit either oil or water right at the hump of turn 5 and slide right off the track. I looked ahead and saw another car already off and I was heading right for it! I just turned the wheel slightly and missed the car by about 10 feet. Very odd feeling for that one.

That's my approach - wait until I'm in a racecar to start having offs. But I'm not quiiiiiiiiiiiiite ready for that yet.

I prefer to have no offs no matter what

It was surreal. I know the driving schools drill into your brain to not panic and just keep the wheel straight and ride it out till you slowed enough to ease back onto the track. It's exactly what I did and no harm/no foul.

Steve did the exact same thing as I did. Just squared the track off too much and got into the marbles.

Looks like the snow is falling now. Hopefully it won't be much more than 1" or I may be bringing the red rocket instead

Dudes (and dudettes? lol, let's not kid ourselves) what time did we say for tonight? The first post says 8pm but I think that's the summertime schedule.

I'm by no means in charge of anything but I'd like to shoot for everyone to arrive around 7ish tonight if you guys want to BS about cars before going in to grab a drink. It's going to get pretty cold pretty early and I'm not going to want to stand out there in the garage for long.

No, this is not whining, it's organizing.

Ouch, that isn't an RFT right?

Also, I am aiming for closer to 7 tonight I think.

They're not RFTs, they're the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3. Great all season tire, very happy with them until this happened....

I am driving to Boston tomorrow, so I am not sure I will be attending tonight since its just under an hour drive, tolls, gas to make it to KoP then to turn around and come back home.

Ill continue to check this thread tho to see how the turnout looks. If I get everything I need to completed and its not too late, then maybe I will try to make the ride out.

Also, since Ryan isn't on the forums, I was talking to him last night and he plans on stopping by for a little bit tonight. I will text him now and let me know that some people are interested in coding so that he can hopefully bring his laptop and cord.

The X6 is good at hauling kids to and from their sporting events, going to the grocery store to get a lot of food to feed the family and it is badass as hell with winter tires in the snow.

Unfortunately the last reason listed above is the only one that applies to me since I don't have a family or go grocery shopping much.

It is aggressive and nice looking........right?

And it isn't bad on gas. I have the N55 motor so I have been getting typically 18 mpg city and 26 highway. Not bad for a heavy SAV with small motor.

I'll be there at 7 tonight.

I'm on my Michelin PSS with no issues. Just slow down a little and you'll be fine with your summer tires.

Family, kids and grocery good advance planning.
X6 is hot looking badass truck. You should see how it looks in India (average cars are smaller). Every time I saw an X6 in India, my eyes were like

Rocking the summer tires as well. It's fine today. x4/x6 for the win.
