So there is no increase in HP and torque- just tweaks to how the trans shifts?
Not that I'm complaining- this will actually be a good selling point for me. I actually have enough torque / HP for my personal driving needs.

From what I've read it makes the 6AT more DCT like. Can't wait to see it in person.

Anyone in the NJ area go for this yet?

Very cool to hear. Any side effects so far (other than regretting not doing it sooner)?
How long have you been running it?

So far I believe only myself and one other are having any side effects, and that's the wacky tachy. It still drives awesome, however. Nothing negative to report yet, and I've had it flashed the longest of the n55s and that includes a drive up the eastern seaboard and back down (in that snowstorm).

for me:
Drive Mode: Fully Functional (no tach drop)
Drive Mode + Paddles (Temporary Manual): Fully Functional (no tach drop)
Drive Sport Mode: Fully Functional (no tach drop)
Drive Sport Mode + Paddles (I don't think this is temporary manual): TACH DROP
Manual Mode (moving the shifter to sport and then up or down) with or without paddles: TACH DROP

can anyone who doesn't get the tach drop confirm that its in full manual and still no drop and not just temporary manual??

Just had this done today - Absolutely AMAZING! D mode takes some getting used to as it wants to be in a higher gear sooner - fine by me since I'm only in D mode when I'm warming up the car and not wanting to have fun . M mode is sweet - the shifts are not a little bit faster, they are incredibly faster.
Paddles working, no tach issues.

Alex did the coding remotely without any issues. Customer service was unbelievable - answered all my questions no matter the time of day and coded last night at 11pm from home. He's the man

anyone know if bringing it to the dealer with this flash will affect anything? For example, if I have the flash done and then do the recall for the battery, will that be an issue?

Your configurations for the D-can cable are not correctly done...make sure your c:\ediabas\bin\obd.ini is set to correct comport used and also make sure you copy obd.ini into c:windows also...This is a must

On the side note. I have flashed now a total of 8 N55 that I have personally flashed and not one tach issue...Everything works perfect!

I looked at the assembly line numbers and I didnt find anything out of the norm from TorqnDC car...His car got me stump and I still dont know why its doing it...Out of 25 there are only two people that have this issue with the tach..:

I went through and checked everything again, somebody mentioned may be INPA being on before hand caused the errors.
So I just went through all stages and presto I have the B3 flash no errors Went for a drive, car shifts perfect and quick paddles works perfect, now Iam a happy camper 6-2008 build.

Yes that would cause the issue too! Glad you got it working!

yes, the onestop cable.

Can anyone who is about to flash post some information from INPA prior to flashing?
I am trying to determine a 'changelog' as it were for the stock transmission softwares, and hopefully find some other hidden goodies.

I need the following:

Original 'ZB No.' and 'Date' for EGS and DME/DDE modules from 'User Information Field' menu in Functional Jobs
Original 'Part No.' and 'SGBD' for EGS and DME/DDE modules from 'Identification' menu in Functional Jobs

Nobody here having second thoughts on reliability... Doesn't the B3 have a different tranny?

The B3 runs the same 6-speed auto but I don't know if they beef it up in any way.

FWIW, I may go this route but I'm inclined to wait to see if transmissions start grenading.

Lol. It's not going to grenade. You will be waiting a long time to hear this if that's the case. You worry way too much. It's the same as if people tune their engines will start blowing up! Lol
