Just so that I'm clear, you only need the IOS/Android (maybe on Android?) app to adjust the camera's settings. You can use it to download the videos, but you could also just remove the microSD card as well.

I ask because I'm about to purchase this, but I'm on Android (my wife has an IPhone). I could use her phone for setup, but don't want continually use it after it's been setup.

select off for SOUND RECORDING in the general settings after connecting your iPad/iPhone or Android device to the camera's WiFi.

Yeah once you use the iPhone to set up the camera's settings you do not have to connect it again and can access the video files directly with the SD card.

Actually to put these videos (shown below) on YouTube I removed the SD card and uploaded the videos to my computer and from there uploaded to YouTube.

You can also upload directly from the camera in the car to YouTube or the internet (Email, Text, Whatsapp, facebook, etc...) thru your iPhone/iPad/Android without even having to leave your car.

I had just bought a cheap $20 dash came not too long ago. I don't know how some manufacturers can get away with calling their cames high def, couldn't even read a license plate in the daylight with this junk. Randomly came across the review on this forum and quality looks very acceptable. And I don't have to sucker cup it to my windshield with wires hanging down? Sold! Ordered one on amazon this afternoon.

After almost two months of waiting for this camera to arrive, it finally came. And nothing in my life has ever frustrated me more than this POS. Ignoring for a minute that the only way you can get the app to show up in the store is by scanning the QR code because typing CYHY would just be too easy, installing the thing is a complete PITA. After two hours I still can't get the halves to fit together. And apparently the slightest force is enough to knock the damn mirror off and pop a metal ring out of place which is impossible to get back in, meaning my mirror no longer can be positioned. Running the wires and connecting it is a piece of cake but getting that damn plastic housing on.... Plus all that time staring at that big stupid red clown nose on the mirror just constantly reminds me how much I hate bmw for that design.

Finally got it snapped together only after ripping out the plug on the mirror. It was the only way I could get enough room to run the camera's wire. But, the camera doesn't even work well. The wifi cuts in and out constantly every few seconds. This camera has turned out to just be $100 mistake.

Sorry to hear! Why did you have to "rip" your mirror harness out?

I ran the wire between the glass and headliner to avoid that.

Also contact the seller. One of the reason I purchased from them is their good return/refund/replace policy.

Also the WiFi settings can be adjusted because it maybe set so while you are driving and the camera is recording it locks you off from watching the camera screen instead of focusing on your driving.

Got mine, it took about 3 weeks to arrive and less than 20 minutes to install. The halves snapped together without any problem. Really like the camera, the only issue I've noticed so far - control buttons rattle, quite annoying.

BTW, it is available with Amazon Prime now.

I used the method described above by someone in this thread - remove visor clips and pull headliner down just a bit so you could get your fingers inside and push dome light clips.

Sweet! I got mine in 2 days with Amazon Prime. It also came with USA instruction booklet and 16 gig card. Now I just need to install it lol. The buttons on mine seem prety solid and do not rattle in hand.

Oh and I found the app on the play store. Had to select download from untrusted sources in the store options.
