I dont remember the exacts...
08 335i coupe zsp, prem, heated, navi ~51 msrp 42 month lease, 0 down, taxes/fees rolled into payment, 12k/year miles for 765/mo in IL (which charges sales tax on full price of vehicle...one of two states to do this) *i imagine with the rates being where they are now, you could probably do a little better on an 09

On my car my residule comes out to be $25520 when I put 58% in. Your calculation got different numbers for some reason. I did it twice using the same calculator.

Oh i see what happened. When you go back to re-enter data after you calculate a lease, the residual doesn't automatically update. You have to manually re-enter 58% again so it updates for the differences in MSRP. My residual is $26680. I was using my residual to calculate your lease price and you were using your residual to calculate my lease price. I recalculated and yours came out to 540 which is about right for your MF. And i re-entered mine and it came out to the same $524. I think the difference in our lease prices is ultimately the MF/interest rate. When i calculate your #'s with my MF it comes out to about $520 a month. Did you order your car in December or January? I think the rates were a lot lower in December.

Yeah, I confirmed-the MF went up.
January 2009 lease rates were: 2009 BMW 328xi Sedan 36 Month – Residual 59% of MSRP – .00175 Base Rate and February 2009: 2009 BMW 328xi Sedan 36 Month – Residual 59% of MSRP – .00145 Base Rate Which comes out to about $550.00 a month for January and $530.00 for February for your #'s. The MF really went up after December. |

The .0003 discount is reflected in the money factor: .0020 - .0003 - .00049 (from the multi security deposits) = .00121 |

MSD=Multiple Security Deposits You can reduce the money factor on a lease by putting up multiple sec deposits. Each security deposit reduces the MF by .00007, so 7 security deposits results in a .00049 reduction (all of this in addition to the .0003 reduction mentioned above). |

OK Thanks! My CA told me about the $1000 in loyalty cash, but not the MF discount. I will check on that.

I locked the December 2008 program rates when I ordered, with a MF of .00175 and higher residual than they are offering now. My dealer is telling me now that I get either that December MF and higher residual, or the cash and MF discount of .0003 with the Jan/Feb MF and residual, but not both. THat is, he says I can't get the loyalty cash and MF discount if I stick with the December MF and Residual. I think he is wrong, but I can't get a definitive answer. |

It's a new BMWFS program offering cash back to current or recent (within 6 onths) lessees as an incentive to sign a new lease; it's a different amount for different models, e.g., $1,000 for 335i sedans. In addition to that, there is a MF discount of .0003.

Just picked up my car last week using the March program
Here are my numbers: 335i xDrive - Space Grey / Black Dakota MSRP: 51,150 Selling Price: 46,700 (includes 1k loyalty cash) Refundable Security Deposits: 3843 Cap. Cost Reduction: 2000 Monthly Payment: 549 (includes 7% NJ tax) ----all inceptions fees, bank fee, etc... (everything aside for tax) paid up front. On another note - I noticed on edmunds.com that for the month of April BMW announced a 3k marketing incentive on all 335i/d sedan models. Does anyone know if this is true? Is the overall program alot better than March? |
