As explained already, and I explained it well, I did my research after the fact, and in my defense no shop will go online to look for DIY, period. If the shop doesn't know how to install my suspension why would I go there? Additionally, all parts are assumed in good order out the box. Another thing, a lot of times issues don't end up on the forum for you to be able to read it. My comment wasn't addressed directly at you. Sorry if I came across that way. We are all here to help each other. Please don't get personal with master mechanics this and that. Even car manufactures finish assembling cars with bad parts and then they have recalls. We all depend on someone else quality control. Last edited by vwetish; 03-30-2015 at 03:16 PM.. |

Perches only lower .5 '' where springs go lower depending in the brand. If u install let's say hr and they advertise 1.2'' drop, installing the perch will give u another .5 making a total 1.7'' drop. On the stock suspension they lower the car .5 over stock

However, if you are mechanically inclined, or have an experienced mechanic, installing the SP perch should not be a problem. Combining SP perch with lowering springs according to me is bad idea since it will offer significant and for many unwanted drop and worse ride due to shorter strut shaft travel. |

Sway bar links are often not secured enough and you get rattles

not enough pics in this thread!
I am thinking about doing these in conjunction with Dinan Camber Plates to offset the slight amount that the camber plates raise the front.

I'm pulling mine out this weekend and can take photos. Are you interested in any specifics? Mounted? Disassembled? Compared with stock?

I hope you haven't done this yet, because I just did and the combo doesn't work. The flanges on the SP Perches are wider than the factory ones, and they rub on the inside of the tower wall with the added camber from the plates. I spent hundreds on the install only to have a knocking sound at low speeds. Now I have to decide if I want to grind down the flange, or shell out hundreds more for a different setup.

Dinan non-adjustable plates. I took it back to the shop and they said they put it all back together correctly, and can't rectify the knock.
