and +1 to whoever said in that other thread that when a girl makes a thread, it gets pages and pages long overnight
Hope everything works out because I would be furious if I got duped like that, not mocking her, just laughing at what usually goes on here.

She said the brakes are under warranty and being replaced for free while the other stuff is not.

I'm not arguing that the 335 models don't have a lot of known problems. I'm just saying that a Toyota Carolla/Matrix is a piece of boring, unreliable garbage. My most reliable car to date was my 2007 VW GTI with the BPY engine. Even though these engines have known issues (Diverter valve failure, PCV failure, cam follower failure, DSG mechatrics failure, etc.) mine was bullet-proof for 55k miles. My point is, perceived reliability is all hype. And Corollas and Camrys are BORING and no more reliable than anything else.

When a dealer gets a car, they do go over minor things that should be replaced or changed. The dealer i bought it from didn't do a few things, which includes rear brakes and wipers, that is it. That was told to me by BMW, so as we are typing those 2 things are being changed.

It never fails, except when the engine self destruct and you are left with a $25k bill. This comparison is useless. Number of reported events, for some events cost $20 to fix, and some cost $25k.
The BMW problems are not as catastrophic, but they do cost a fair share of money to fix, everytime. Corolla problems are usually fixed on the cheap (parts and labor are less expensive). |

Its only because this topic seems to piss a lot of people off. I love my car it handles excellently and is so much fun to drive, but when things start to break, it isnt much fun. I (prob like most people on here) have a love hate relationship with my car.

2007 335i is a great car... you just need to learn how to keep it in tune and know where to go... NEVER GO TO THE DEALER FOR MAINTENANCE... That's why they are called "STEALERSHIP"...
