Hey, rambalu!!!!!

EDIT: 2010 with cameras work in 2006 330 (June build date).

But I can't say that my test is fully proof.
Back in 2009 when 2009 DVD with camera was introduce on this forum, I make one and used for more then 2 month. During this time I use my car only as home-work-home transportation no more then 30 ml away from my home.
One day we have a 70 ml one way trip to Covina, right before navy says "take a next exit" - system freeze for more then a few min - and then - "Please insert valid DVD...." bla-bla-bla. Ejecting and push back disk - same error. Glad I have extra disk with me (I always has a one extra navigation DVD after this) with out cameras - work with out any problem till yesterday, when I replaced that disk with 2010 version (2009 copy I left in my glow compartment).
The disk with cameras I give to my coworker (she has a 2007 335i) - and as of last Friday - she told me, she never had a problem with my disk.

I posted up rapidshare links for region 1(on page 5)& region 2(page 6)but its not with cams.other then that there both the same 2010 Nav Disks.

just started the dl for the one with cams...disc 1 reached 500 kb but disc 2 is slow..and guess which one is the one i need lol

question here. if i plan a road trip going to ca from ny, as they are on different disc, would i be able to do it? so i need to manually select somewhere in the middle as a point of switch over ?

Okay, I tried this. I live in TX and tried to get a map to MI. Guess what? The region 2 DVD does not list any of the states that are not on it and similarly, Disc 1 does not list the states that are not on it. So, you can't enter a destination address that is not on the disc that is inserted in your car's DVD drive.

Then I thought, why not check out a Canadian address in Windsor Canada. I could put in the address but the map wouldn't show the route past the first 50 odd miles. No warning to insert the other disc either.

Basically the 2 disc system is a bunch of crap.

To get from NY to CA, you will need to get a via point address to one of the states that is on both discs. When you arrive at the via point, you will have to switch disc's and most likely shut down system for 5 minutes (I DID get the 5 minute warning when I switched disc's) and then after you restart after the 5 minute break, you will have to enter the destination address in CA and go the rest of the way!

wholly cow...then we still need to keep the 2009 disc in the car .....maybe bmw is thinking bimmers are not for roadtrip....

so even changing disc 1 to disc 2 or via versa you have to wait 5 mins?

I don't have disk 1 (don't even planning to have) but if you have 2009 and switch to 2010 - it is required a shut down a car and wait for 5 min.
And yes, my DL DVD 2009 will by always in my glow compartment.

btw once a POI is showing up how to disable it? I just tried restaurants and all the folks are showing up on screen I hate it...

Should be a few more hours. I checked at 6:00 AM this morning and someone was at 75.8%. I'm sure there will be at least a few seeders by the time I get home from work.

Yeah, I should be done downloading disc 1 right about now and subsequently should be seeding. Left my laptop open. Disc 2 won't be done dl'ing until tonight I'm sure.

I did notice the same thing about a "new destination." Disc 1 (non-Camera dl) only has the east side states listed. Really a weird system, having 2 discs.

Can someone scan a picture of the original DVD to JPG and post it up here so we can print the label on the disk. I checked cdcovers.cc and only disks they have are old ones.
