BTW: Anyone need advice on performance mods?? (warranty/installation... etc) I'm pretty good friends with most of the Tech's at Edmonton BMW.... one of the many perks of working for the dealership!!!

Do you think a dinan exhaust would void my CPO warrenty if it was installed by the dealer? Also I love the front lip on your car.

Dinan warranty IS NOT bmw warranty!!! I hear about it all day everyday. Dinan will MATCH the 4 year 80k warranty. It's not from BMW. You always always always run a risk with warranty concerns when you modify (no matter how little it is). With that said, there are some mods (exhaust) that are safer than others.
However, a couple of cans will "never" void your warranty. When you start cutting out the cats... you're playing with fire. On the safe side, if techs see DINAN they usually don't even question if it caused a problem, they trust it. For the money of a dinan exhaust, personally i'd just buy a fully catless dp back system. Shouldn't hurt warranty, but if you're dead set on making sure you have warranty then get an exaust shop to weld your secondary cats back in. That's not my car . Mine looks stock

I sure did!! Don't worry about the signature. Seeing the parts installed on your car when you bring it in for service should be your main concern.... I would recommend next time you book an appointment for service, send me an email and I can line up a tech and service advisor that is more "mod friendly" and won't spill the beans unless absolutely neccessary.

gstuart,
Do you have a link to the dealer's track day site? I'd like to come and take a boo at our cars on the track, but can't see me taking mine out. Anyone else planning on attending? A |

So I ended up getting a flat this long weekend. BMW wants $600 for ONE replacement tire (255/40R17) plus balancing. Needless to say I am looking for at least somewhere else to buy this runflat tire. Anyone know shops in Edmonton with a bit more reasonable prices?

You might just have to bite the bullet on this one and pay the dealership.
For future reference, order a few from tire rack and store them in your garage. Then you won't be in this situation ever again.
