I would say because dvwp doesnt have much of a smooth finish to it. Theres a lot of imperfections if looked closely. A large area like the hood would show them off is my guess.

I should have gone with the CF bootlid. I will for sure get the CF hood.

Whats on the underside of the hood? Is there any sort of lining (especially under the vents)???

Nope, nothing on the underside. You can get the underside in carbon fiber, or glossy black

The demo yesterday was a plug - no holes in it yet. It is used for making a mold.

They didn't have the completed hood, this was only a prototype, the vents were also sealed, and the whole hood was plastic.

The final version will be open on the indentation, and the vents will be open as well, from what I am told.
