I've read that many believe the Cayman chassis is capable of taking more power without compromising the handling and grip.

`Been away a few days BB, here you go. http://www.speedart.de/en/program/mo...man/index.html

Dealer told me that if ever Porsche made a Cayman "RS" they wouldn`t be able to keep up with demand.

The Aero kit is expensive at almost £3K as a factory option BB and seriously limits incline angles due to the front splitters but the rear "fixed" spoiler looks superb and helps diffrentiate the front from the rear . Might be worth seeing if you can order the spoiler on its own.

I got a call yesterday to say the Turbo is back from the bodyshop, so going to see it this afternoon.

Yes Phil, the Cayman is curvy, but have you seen how big it's bum is - adds a whole new meaning to 'does my bum look big in this'

Cheers MikeM for the tuning link - looks VERY tasty. Not sure if this years corporate bonus will quite cover the outlay, but hey, every little helps.

Got a 'are you happy with how the overall experience with the dealer went' letter today. Guess what, along with asking you about interest and hobbies, it asks you whether you are interested in Porsche track days - wow, too bloody right I am.

Calvin - understood.

Went for a spirited blast around the North Yorks. moors today. Lovely warm sunny day, dry roads and a full tank of fuel. First real chance to 'let rip' in the Cayman and well impressed. The car really comes into it's own along the roads on t'moors. Have 'taken' bends at speeds I wouldn't have contemplated before, but this car inspires so much confidence. Found on the twisty and bumpy roads at speed, the Cayman becomes much more 'masculine' to drive - not a problem at all, just a case of concentrate a bit more. You guys maybe wouldn't notice being physically stronger than me.

Great day out and great fun. Some more pics. as promised. Sure some on here will recognise the roads.

Right confession time now. At one point on todays 'blast' I went into a corner a wee bit TOO quickly and HAD to break quite hard mid-way through the bend. There was virtually NO chassis flexing, squirming and NO loss of rear wheel grip - very impressed to say the least and thankful that I made it through the bend....ooops T'other half had grabbed the door handle (very distracting for the driver!) and said "Ffs woman, I haven't brought a spare pair of underpants". That laid the gauntlet for me to try and do it again.

This happened to me today albeit probably at quite a reduced speed. the response I got wasn't quite as humorous as yours though so I pulled in at the next layby and let her drive for the rest of the day

No doubt about it... that car looks really at home beside those roads (same curves ).

Brilliant photos.

Helen, did they tell you about the forthcoming Porsche Driver Training Center at Silverstone? I've been a little involved in the construction, and it is a great new facility. It should be opened this summer, where new owners can even take delivery of their new porker, and then be educated in getting the most from it. Squeeze, this may ineterst you too.

Cheers Viv - that photo is well cool. Wish I knew how to do all that stuff.

Jason - Thanks, nice to hear from you.

The sticker is the white rose of Yorkshire. Not that I'm proud to be a Yorkie born and bred you understand.
