I'm in the process of cleaning my valves with walnut shells right now and I gotta say, it sure is time consuming. Almost one down.......and 5 more to go. I went in knowing that it wasn't going to be a breeze, but for those of you who have completed this already are any advice you can give that can speed up the process? Seems it is hardest to get the gunk off the valves and deep in the ports. Any help is appreciated.

I'm not going to take my motor apart, but just seeing how cruddy they look before, it sure seems like a good thing to do. I'm not so concerned about the crud around the valves, but it would be nice to get rid of built up deposits around the holes. Is there no solution one can put in the gas tank to accomplish the same thing?

Don't think that would work either. I wouldn't want to play with that anyway, it would cause more problems than help.
It's not really that big of a deal to need a complex solution.
Get the valves cleaned maybe twice in the cars lifetime and I wouldn't worry about it.

Hey can we also get a pic of your wand setup. You said you used a 1/4 drive 6mm socket. I wanna see what u meant by that. List of parts might help.

Also does anyone know the size of the ports? So i can start cutting my wood.
