Tint
Hey guys! Looking for the best place to go to get tint done in Edmonton! I need to get the windows on my E92 done but I'm looking for a shop that offers the best price! Any input from you guys? What did it cost to get yours done?
Thanks!

Codes
Could anyone in Edmonton or area pull some codes for me? My 328i is having some issues with rough idling and I want to see if it is throwing any codes to narrow down my search for the issue!
Thanks in advance!

Best place to get a new windshield for my '07 328i E92? Doesn't matter where the shop is, I can make the trip if the price is right!
Thanks!

Any good BMW techs in calgary to get some maintenance work done? I dealt with motorwerks and sheni's auto before. They're good but pricey.. Anyone else who doesn't charge the shop hours by the book rather than the actual time it takes to do the job?

I'm wondering the same thing.. I need to get my valve cover gasket swapped out and don't have the time to do it myself. Need a recommendation for a good indy shop!

Center Console Wrap
Anyone in Edmonton area capable of doing a wrap on a e90 335 center console trim? Please let me know. Tired of the Jet Black and want to go a different route.

Check out Velocity Motorsports/Advante Motorsports. They are located up by the old airport off Kingsways. Contact is Alex or David...

Good day all, I just purchased my first ever bimmer, a 07 328xi. I have always loved BMW cars and decided it was time to get one. My old drive to work car (87 Lebaron) died last week and I hummed and hawed about what to get. I am happy I found this car, the only issue it has are the reverse lights and one trunk marker light don't light up. I took all the bulbs out and cleaned the contacts and all that so I am guessing I may have a couple of broken wires. There are only 2 328's in Vermilion and my friends is the diesel. I look forward to maybe coming out for an Edmonton meet or perhaps a Calgary one if I can find the time. See ya around!

Barez Recycling. They have a bunch of ads up on Kijiji that don't actually mention their name, but if they list an address on 44 Street SE, it's them. The owner is honestly nice enough, but the place is just so greasy. No price lists, which I should have taken as a warning sign but ignored. So my dumb ass pulls a bunch of parts before I even know what they want for them, assuming good faith on the part of the business, which I was clearly mistaken about. In my defense I was assured prior to pulling them that they would be "junkyard prices," which makes me think Pick-n-Pull, plus a small Euro premium... I posted about this a while ago, but here are a few of the prices I was quoted on stuff I had pulled:
We weren't on different pages, we were in alternate universes with those prices. Keep in mind it's a poorly laid out yard with cars crammed together, and you're pulling the parts. I just pity the fool who pays what they ask. In the end I didn't take the hood or the grills, and paid significantly less than he asked for the items I did take (but still overpaid in hindsight). I just don't do business like that, and I don't appreciate when people try to take advantage of others. Fortunately for me I know what these things are worth, especially when they're used and untested and come from a junkyard. Further to that, every single E90 they had at the time was base base base no-package, leatherette, painted silver trim, manual seats. You might luck out on the shift knob, but it'll almost certainly have the silver trim. My other grievance was that some of the cars they said were available weren't even there. I actually went initially to do a sport seat swap, but in hindsight he would have wanted $1000 per seat I'm sure so I would have walked anyway. Again, if none of the above bothers you, then head on down. Like I said, the guy was friendly enough and helpful, but it just wasn't a place I'd want to do business with again. YMMV Last edited by e90yyc; 07-05-2018 at 01:49 PM.. |
