I think we generally make about 180 at the wheels stock so it'd be for around 220whp gain. Still not a great deal honestly speaking. Definitely passion project type numbers.

Forgot to mention that I’m referring to AWHP from a video I saw a while back.

In the end all that really matters to me is the power my car makes so hopefully I find time to pull the trigger on a baseline dyno soon. Seems Wikipedia had an optimistic author on that article, maybe I’ll edit it. Good news is 4N motorsports has released a mock up of an N52 bottom mount kit and they are promising 450whp on a stock engine (more with a built engine). Waiting to see some dyno numbers but I’ll concede they the company has managed to produce reliable track tested bottom mount kits for the N54, N55 and S55 engines thus far. |

Hell you could make 800whp out of a log style if you wanted. It does look very nice. I have seen very few 4N kits on N54s fwiw. For their cost I would buy the CES n54 bottom mount kit with the steedspeed manifold.

I Agree, with Stockish setup and this with required upgrades you bump over 200+ WHP, which is pretty solid to remain durable with non-forged internals. I woulld not go past oem redline though, especially as you already make good power. Could I make 50 wheel more, obsolutely, but I want things to last. Btw, still only up to 0.75 quart oil burn over my 5k interval and I have plenty of fun without being stupid with it/drastically increase wear.
Just did an oil and supercharger fluid change at 185k miles and running amazing, Driven DT 40, and typ vortech fluid. Cheers guys, and don’t cheap on maintenance, it will catch up with you, but if you do it’s rock solid and see no reason I won’t get to 250k+ Miles’s before engine rebuild at current state w 400 whp and such a fun car.

I measured the power on the dyno and it is 327 hp at 6466 prm and 377 Nm.
It was not possible to measure up to the end, we ran into the maximum speed limiter. I want to emphasize that I use only gasoline 98 ron euro (93 ron usa) I do not have E85 or water methanol. My car configuration is as follows: Engine N52B30 Supercharger ESS Gen 3 Intake manifold N52 stage3 Porsche 911 GT2 Injectors Pulley 100 mm Setting 22RPD |

Hello, this is my first post so I figured I'd jump in. I have the Esstuning supercharger as well on my e90 328xi and found this thread while kicking the idea of running the 110 mm pulley down from 120mm and the proper belt (found part # in this thread) .
Emails responses from Esstuning state the system software can handle up to 330 whp but also goes on to say it can't do over 6psi on 93 octane safely. And they "left no safe hp on the table"...which according to a few of you fine fellows that seems to not be the case. I'm really about ready to just pull the trigger on the pulley belt and just jump on. Right now the car is 100% stock save for the blower kit from esstuning, window tint, dif side indicators and front lip thingy. I'd be happy to hit 300 whp honestly. So in a nut shell G1 blower @6 psi 120 mm pulley S65 injectors Esstuning tune Gm auto 6 speed Boost gauge I've been too lazy to install /vent mount setup |

Noir Was there anything you had to modify in order for the vargas n54 spline hub to work? I'm asking because I'm going through the same issue of having my motor going out of time. I just retimed it for the second time, but I don't think it's going to hold together, but I don't think anything internal got hurt from it.
Also just to make sure is this the exact kit you bought "https://vargasturbo.com/product/vtt-n54-spline-lock-crankhub-solution/" because everywhere I looked it says it isn't compatible. Also when you installed it did you end up pulling the oil pan, or were you able to do it without pulling it off? |

Yes, thats the one I have. On other car I have the aquamist controller -4 which I prefer, but snow been working great just prefer the other one I have in other car so if I did it again I switch. It’s more advanced and has more control options and gauge a bit better looking. But in general meth been great for my supercharged applications, in BMW I just run it without intercooler and freestanding cooling system, and in Audi combined with IC/independent cooling system.

So since I've had the splined crankhub installed, it appears my timing issue is fixed but I'm still having issues. The main issue is sometimes the car pulls amazingly but most of the time it just feels like it's lacking power, and sometimes just fully cuts out and feels like it's hitting a limiter after shifting. There isn't anything consistent that I've found that causes it to pull well or not, just seems to be random. I attached some logs, but I have no clue what I'm looking at.

The crank hub I got wasn't meant for the n52. It said it would only fit the n54 but all I needed to change to make it work on the n52 was using an n54 oil pump sprocket that the crankhub slips into as it was different sizes. Everything is shared between the n52 and n54.
The one on the left is the original crankhub, and the one on the right with the splines is the VTT n54 splined crankhub |

Do you have fuel pressure sensor installed?
Try logging that as well, maybe you’ll need fuel pump upgrade Quote:
