There's a pic with the 12 engine cover removed though its from the front side of car and the bulge's would ''appear'' to be connected to the air intake tube that goes down to the induction.

During FP1 and FP2 , at high speed MAX got strange vibrations on his steering and in the cockpit .
It was impossible to use the full potential of the car and RB is looking at the issue during the evening and night .

Heard from hammy's onboard too that there was something up with his 12 at the end of fp2 though couldn't make out what.

Checo is close so its not all bad news , they can pit him early to force Merc's hand, then hopefully Max can take advantage , he should stay close though as Merc are weak on the softs

Yeah Helmut Marko was noting before.. it could be the longer charge of batteries on 12 and the 0.4 sec gap to hammy is about right for that but at least Max has Checo next to him and we know grandma may flunk the start..

Max not happy with amount of traffic that was in Q3 that slowed his progress a trifle so there could still be some joy. He had a better start than hammy at Imola and no reason why it can't be repeated as we know 44 gets edgy when he's challenged especially with grandma sidelining him with an 0.007 lol

I agree . But there's still a gap of 0.4 sec. ! And that's a sea of time over one (1) lap .
BOT can be fast over one lap , but as usual during the race he has lack of racecraft ..

Toto smiled again , that's bad news for us MAX fans and HONDA !

My prediction for the podium is :

• HAM P1
• MAX P2
• CHECO P3
• BOT somewhere in the background (not sure)

Great QF performance from Sainz on P5 !

I'm sure Max would have been closer to the 12's if traffic fell in with him but we saw he was a little upset that it didn't work out. A rocket start tomorrow would be just the pill to put a fly in hammy's soup heheh and Bot has to be extra careful not to wreck his rebuilt car again..that near totalled car he had hasn't seemed to hold back on those Merc updates as Wolff was freely rabbiting on about how it would cost them lol.

Finished! the smart stainless steel electrical sockets, slowly getting our house ready for sale making it look more nice, next is to replace some doors.
