Love this thread, very tasteful mods. Also an ex-S2K owner here, gave up the AP1 once the baby came along, for an E90 330i sedan...
Really making me want to pull the trigger on the BMW PE + aFe pipes, if only it wasn't so damn expensive! But yeah these cars are way too quiet stock. Was it easy to do the install yourself? Any parts needed besides the pipe cutter... and did you clamp or weld? |

The install was very easy, just like working on the S! Yes, all I needed was the pipe cutter. The BMW PE comes with exhaust clamps so I used those

I know the feeling man trust me...I've had some close encounters (of the 3rd kind) because of the other drivers on the road during snow hahahah

So after researching the OEM alarm on here for quite a few hours I went to my car and lowered the rear interior light, and I found what looks to be the ultrasonic module for the OEM alarm. This would explain why my red clown nose blinks after I lock the car.
With that said, I have compiled a list of part numbers so I can piece together the rest of the OEM alarm! This is one of the few times I am happy to have a pre-LCI. My car is pre-wired for the alarm which is just fantastic.

Looks great man! just got a 2007 328xi coupe in space gray and I love looking through your photos and seeing how far your car has come, really excited to see how those bumpers look! Also wanted to ask, what did you do with those side fender lights, those looked sick?!

So I've purchased a couple components for completing the OEM security system. I bought the hood switch at the dealer and found a used siren on eBay. The rest of the parts I need I ordered through getbmwparts.com and I am still waiting on those.
Also, I ordered a rear diffuser a few weeks ago from a guy out in Cali who makes them. I installed it today, but I am still waiting on the side splitters that attach to the sides of the rear bumper.

are you talking about the tail lights? I'd have to disagree!
So the rest of the stuff I needed to install the alarm came in today, it was pretty easy (only had to install the hood switch and siren in the driver rear wheelwell). I will be getting the alarm coded on Monday. I also will be adding a few more coding options such as: - euro hazards - open/close windows and sunroof with keyfob - fold/unfold mirrors with keyfob - brake force display - digital speedo - remove seat belt gong feel free to mention any other options as I don't know them all haha http://www.motorwerkscoding.com/us/e...ns_coding.html Here is a video of me testing the motion sensor and siren:

well here's somethings that you might like/find to be cool
Set timeframe for mirrors to close with keyfob (2 seconds, 1 second or instant) **I recommend that you do instant, i made the mistake of not doing instant & i hate myself for it lol** Enable the reverse mirror to tilt further down (see curb while parking) Enable doors to open automatically when car is turned off(no more double pull of handle) Allow Fog lights to stay on with high beams Enable Fogs light as welcome lights (production date 3/07 till present) oh and get the light errors coded out....
