I don't think that this pic is accurate. If you look at the camo-ed pics above this post, you can see the kidney grill begin to round inwards near where it meets the hood. The kidneys in this pic don't look any different from what's on the 06, 07, 08 models.
Man I hope that the mustache goes away. |

And what do you suppose they have done? It's camoflage!

come on....let's be real, that's only a camoflage.; we only know that it will have a different spoiler(fron and rear), DLRs, led taillights and maybe redesigned kidney grills and door mirrors but the final version is not out yet that's why i was asking if anyone knows anything about the Geneve auto show in march?

I have the 08 car. there is already a lot of different things changed on this. I think they have changed sinse the first one left the factory.
They dont dare to change it total. Why should they. Perfekt shape. Total sexy look. Audi did a lot of changes on their new one (A4) and they took all the shape off that was somehow sporty and smooth. Now its a little fat car that just look heavy. To big changes can also change the marked.

Yeah, you're right but i'm guessing that they are making this minor facelifts just to keep up with the competition (in terms of technological improvements) but the perfect shape and sexy look won't change a bit!
i think that at the moment both Mercedes and Audi offer a lot more as standard features than BMW and they have to keep up with this too..... |

Technological improvements is already made. The car i got is with a whole new engine. Wonder why they dident wait to promote it with the new facelift?
So that alone talks for wery small changes. And no - i like the simple look inside the car. It can also be to much confusing ugly bottom hell with lots of stuff you never use and never can´t find. Only thing wich is realy annoying is the fact that there are other people on the roads. BMW never tryed to change that.

I disagree; for E90 and E91, I really dislike the front bumper and rear lights. If they make it along the lines of the E92, I'd be very happy. I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling that way. People buy the E90 because it's what's available, but if you see the surge in MB C class sales, you'd understand the need. My wife drives an E60, and that's a much better design.
According to wikipedia, Top Gear voted it as the ugliest car in 2005, and couldn't be bothered to put it on The Cool wall.

Thats kind of funny. If we go back to the older BMW. Every time they change model people have gone cold over the new design. But people always endning up loving it anyway. Until next time there is a change in desing.
We get use to it. And in the end. Its all about having fun driving - and when you drive a bmw - who looks at the desing. Its all about having fun driving - the feeling. And everyone here who had severel models must agree its getting better and better every time.

Autospies. I don't frequent that site - sometimes their info is dubious, but since these are Lehmann's...
There is only one other pic, a fairly unremarkable rear 3/4 shot. http://www.autospies.com/news/BMW-3-...Testing-25474/ I don't hate the mustache. But I won't miss it either.

do you also notice something different in the lower part of the rear bumper (considering the e90 in far right is not facelifted)?? Last edited by neo871; 01-16-2008 at 04:31 PM.. Reason: type error |
