Does anyone have a description of the settings of icom clone BMW Rheingold? You can insert it here?

http://www.agson.net/images/bmw/bmw_....agson.net.pdf English translation: 1. Connect the car through the ICOM to the computer. 2. Open the properties used to connect the adapter and go to properties "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)". Enter 169.254.1.1 for the "IP address" and 255.255.0.0 for the "Subnet mask". 3. If you have installed VMware, run the Virtual Network Editor and disconnect all host adapters with Subnet Address 169.254.0.0. 4. Open the C: \ EDIABAS \ BIN \ EDIABAS.INI in Notepad and check that section TCP "Port = 6801." 5. Run BMW Rheingold ISTA 3 and wait for the download, click settings. 6. In the opened window, tab "VCI Config", select "HO-ICOM/ENET local and ISIS network "and confirm with" OK ". 7. Select the "Identification", then "Read Out Vehicle Data" and "Start Vehicle Test". 8. Select your ICOM from the list and click "Set up connection" |

This is the version on the VM? There is a Polish (Polski) language to choose?

The 180 GB has Polish language. I downloaded from russian torrent site.
It is Sensible build I guess. Version of 180 GB VMware image is 3.39 and ISTA/P 2.50.4 If you are talking for my own ISIS+ISID+ISSS VMware system is rather old, it is ISIS 2.7.190 |

k+dcan 2.0 error:answer mismatch
I can find the icon connector and link to it but it does not read out the VIN. When I run the k+dcan utility I get an error:answer mismatch. Any ideas? I am using Sensibles image with built in icon emulator and using a real hp dongle. I am using a one stop dcan cable.

So I read through this entire thread (thankfully, not very large... yet).
As I'm still having problems trying to get a fully functioning BMW Tools 2.12 to work under my Win7 x64 (I can get NCS Expert to work, but then INPA is kiboshed; if I stick to INPA 5.02/4, then of course NCS Expert doesn't work under x64; I'm currently still using an old laptop running WinXP to use INPA 5.0.2), since there is no slick step-by-step DIY for both what hardware is needed, fully working copes of the latest software (the Russian 3.39 link doesn't appear to work as my torrent client times out trying to access it, and I'm not sure if the first link in the OP is still good as it appears to be a much older version), and finally, a couple people have suggested it's much better and relatively affordable to buy a fully assembled system, say from eBay. If purchasing a pre-installed system, is there anyone that has been verified as trustworthy and offers a complete turn-key system that truly works? Or should I continue to try and scrounge up sources for functioning copies of ISTA, emulators, cables, and who knows what else I may need, hoping for nirvana but perhaps again falling short and just never quite there?

There's a guide in this section for Windows 7 x86 that should be applicable for the most part to your x64 build which covers installing and configuring Standard Tools 2.12, as well as importing the necessary data from INPA 5.0.2. Also, I strongly recommend either having a dedicated system for coding/diagnostics or a virtual machine. I wouldn't advise mixing all this stuff in with your normal software and files for performance and security reasons.
