my friend just brought a second hand E92 335i... ,he feel it is a bit stiff steering..and suspension......., wodnering how to make it softer ? any suggestion ?

Your friend will need to check out if there is any aftermarket mods done, before identifying what to fix.

What's up with the 7k rpm redline??

I'm not quite getting the point of an ///M SUV. Sure it handles like a razor and goes like Stig, but the logic is out of the left field:

1. We pay extra to get the extra height in an SUV over a regular sedan. Which brings us to the X3/5/6. Fair trade.

2. Then BMW comes up with a "lowered" version of our "raised" cars and compensates for the handling lost in the process of raising them in the first place... just so we'd end with a car that handles like a sedan but costs an HK$1mm extra

Ain't the ///M5 a much better trade at these prices?

(Ranting aside, the X6 is drop-dead gorgeous in my book...)
