That sucks. Bending one is bad enough. All at once?

The OEM M193s, right? I think I have a bent wheel or two. If you're running the stock tire sizes, I'm not surprised. Going for wheels this year?

Yes M193.

I blew a tire, had that replaced and the wheel repaired. Have been dealing with this super annoying vibration and finally had it looked at. I thought it was the control arms. After road force balancing all of them, the only one that's good is the one I had repaired.

So now it's do I repair the other 3 or buy some wheels that might stand up better. Looking at the VMR 810 or the group buy for Apex ARC8.

Yeah, it was a matter of time. Jump on the Apex bandwagon. I'm gonna pull the trigger on the EC7s and some new rear PSS' soon.

Those apex wheels look so damn good and that group buy looks like a really good deal.

I would def keep a set for winter and summer. If you don't want to repair you could just wait. Good deal on rims come up often I have found on craigslist, this forum, or even tire rack if you want them new for some reason.

Is a repaired wheel more susceptible to future bends? I know they guarantee it to so many thousandths of an inch or whatever but what about the integrity of the aluminum?

Or I could just leave it as is. My buddy paid a fortune to get a massaging seat in his E63, I have it for free.

My limited knowledge of metals says yes the rim will be weaker. If it is cracked which you may not be able to see they can weld it back. It also isn't that cheap to have them fixed at least it wasn't when I looked into it before. They also wanted to charge me more for larger rims which I think is just BS.

You can buy brand new 18'' rims on tirerack for $100 each.

Rim pro is 125 per wheel for 18 inch.

It goes up to 150 per wheel for 19 inch.

That does not include having the tires taken off the wheels and then remounted and balanced.

Not worth it for OEM wheels. Put the money towards a new set or a used set of something quality.

Mounting and balancing is usually $25-$50 per wheel.

3 wheels would be $375 + M&B at $125 = $500 for your old wheels that are technically weaker. + tax obviously.

Are you on runflats?

Told folks I'd post after swapping my battery, running one of these now:
http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-49AGM-.../dp/B006N91BLY
Was a perfect swap for the factory 90Ah AGM. Was on discount for 110, but even 145 isn't bad.

Wheels: I had 1 bent and 3 cracked 159's, bought a cheap used set of 185's, only one of them was straight enough to use. bought another set of 4, of which 3 were good... probably after this winter, i'll just put on some ugly non-runflat 16s and toss looks to the wind.

Alright... 3 wheels straightened at Rim Pro. They did a nice job - road force balanced back to a normal number. A lot of BMW wheels being straightened when I was there.

Had Larin Automotive in Norwood dismount/remount/road force for me and they did an alignment. Car rides much better. My suspension bushings were all twisted as well contributing to my "trembling" sensation at highway speed.

I'm at 59k miles so I asked to do the trans fluid/filter/pan, brake fluid, coolant, and both diffs.

If anyone is looking for a mechanic, I would definitely recommend Larin. Really nice guys, clean shop, and they were really committed to helping me get my ride quality back.
