Eons ago, early 1990's, I was at the Acura dealership getting a new igniter installed under warranty. They had an Integra on the lift with the oil pan off and the tech was pulling the rod out from cylinder #2. The rod was bent into a crescent. The tech said the knucklehead owner went too fast through a flooded street and hydro'd the engine. The engine shut off after No.2 bent. He said it didn't bend the crank or damage the engine and he was putting a new piston and rod in the block. The kid got lucky.

Something a dreadfully fear...

Naw man. Nothing beats the look of heat cycled blanks when the sun is facing the opposite direction. Pair that up with rims barely clear the calipers and nice rubber. Sexy

I bought Meguiar's 105 and spent about four hours on the hood, first with an orange pad which got me nowhere then a yellow which made little difference. I followed it up with Griot's Polish and then wax. The microfiber pads should be here in a few days and I'll give it another try. Thanks for all the recommendations, I feel as though I'll get the car sorted out soon.

Been here in the 1'er boards for a while, but sold my 128i and picked up this 328i wagon two weeks ago. 2012, automatic (ewww, I know, but, I'm swapping that trash out in a couple weeks), only 59,000 miles on it and clean as a whistle. Basically fully loaded, only missing radar cruise control. Absolutely love it, but definitely needs a third pedal to make it completely perfect.

Bought in California, drove home to Virginia, and then the weekend after buying, took it out to Mid-Ohio for a fun Memorial Day weekend. Over 4,000 miles in a week!

You can also modify M3 tension strut bushings to fit xi tension struts. The cost of a set of used arms and new bushings was equivalent to a new set of arms with stock bushings in my application. If youd like to give it a try I can give you my old arms to mess around with 335IE90

Believe my auto trans is on its way out. Flashed v5 2+ e40 today and the car is slipping in 5th gear and didnt want to go into 6th sometimes on the highway. Also didnt like going into 4th sometimes too.

New trans fluid as of 4.5k miles ago and did a complete seal, solenoid, etc... service about 37k miles ago.

Installed Nissen radiator $107.00 FCP and no leaks yet.
Note: the Nissen unit was packed better in its own supported carry box within FCP's box,
For an Automatic Transmission, the Drivers side plug came installed with the correct long plug, but the passenger side had the small plug installed and my fluid leaked out during filling. I swapped it for the long plug (included in a package with the new radiator) and it filled up without leaking.
That was my exact experience with Behr. Same mileage, failure point, etc. Which is why I opted for a CSF Race Rad. Never again will I have those issues and if I do it can just be rewelded
I'm ordering the CSF for my wife's 335i. Can't wait!

Hmm? What was the mileage on the transmission when you did the service (37.k ago).

mid ohio is 20 minutes from me and I've never done a track day in my pile.

I need to rectify that.
