I literally hardly ever get into races or whatever you might call them. Once or twice but never seem to have the opportunity. 4pm in traffic is not suitable despite what some numpty in an Evo thought |

FBO (400-420bhp) 335i would be very similar to a manaual TTRS with just a map when rolling IMO. S-Tronic though,
To give you an idea, when at Bruntingthorpe earlier this year, me and 3 other TTRS' (who I all knew) had a few rolling start blasts from 40-140mph. All had Revo software and Cat by-pass Milly (1 had FMIC too). Over that speed I probably lost by about 3-4 car lengths, which isn't a lot, but I have DCT and they were all manuals. Considering I was about 50bhp down, wasn't to bad on my part and I was reasonably happy. With FBO on mine I dare say I would of held my own fairly easily. But let's not forget I am in a slightly lighter 1er too as well as DCT. |

Fair enough, so with 20-25HP more at the wheels and being lighter no wonder they pulled away.

Let's face it, it's still an Audi TT, and based on that I would rather remove my eyes with needles than own one no matter how quick it is. For the record I despise Audis and would never have one again
Granted the TTRS with its spazy tronic box is quick in a straight line, but I'd far rather have a 1M over one (seeing as that's it's direct competitor) As I 100% know the 1M is a better drive than the TTRS |

As this is a 335i thread.................
Just noticed this LCI 335i M Sport manual for £15895 with a cracking spec. Mileage a little high for the year, but a good price for an LCI. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi.../100?logcode=p |

By the sounds of it you have a hatred towards Audi after a previous bad experience. Yes they can be a bit bland compared to BMW when comparing seat of your pants driving experience, but they also have many good qualities. However, to tell a guy who now owns one (after owning many other exotics including a E92 M3) that it's basically crap and the novelty will wear off, is a bit strong. Especially if you have no experience of the car (I bet). You are obviously entitled to your own opinion mate, but opinions are always better when you at least have some experience of the actual subject... |

Stick to the facts guys. TT's are for girls, lady boys, cross dressers and hairdressers. They should come standard wit this http://gallery.seloc.org/albums/user...6/PICT9553.JPG

The TT will never shake off it's image problem no matter how hard people try to say otherwise.
Never driven one to form an opinion but it would not suit my needs and also too many reviews highlight it's not a drivers car. Effectively quick though. A guy turned up at work in his Mrs Ford Streetka and got ribbed as it is also very girlie. Can't say I would be happy being the butt of jokes driving a TT. Very surprised Audi did put such a fast engine in a TT, but the image will always remain no matter how fast it goes. |

My sister in law said if she won the lottery the first thing she'd buy is a red TT. Enough said |
