Do you have any insight as to how much quality your dealer puts into detailing new cars? Would you allow them to do your's? Or is it like others have pointed out where you get a bunch of young guys getting $7-8/h and rushing through it.

honestly... the only ones doing my car IS the dealer . we have some good detail guys a great team believe it or not. there is 1 person in particular who will be the only one touching my car . just my opinion

What process do they usually go through with new cars? I was suprised to find out that my dealer clay bars theirs. Although they still might not do as detailed of a job with it as I might.

Well 1st The Car Is Fully Prepped By Us In Service. Any Dealer Istalled Options Would Be Installed By Us Etc. After A Full Inspection By Tech The Wehicle Comes To Me Where I Do A Final Quality Control Inspection.. (including Quick Test Drive!!!!) Once Thats Done I Send The Car To Detail Where It Is Fully Detailed And Washed Inside Out.

Right, but my question is what does the detailing process involve? Wash by hand or machine? Clay bar? Buffing by machine? by hand? etc.

I was wondering if dealer (actually in my case it would be the Performance Center) details ED cars when they get re-delivered. My car got a bit dirty while in Europe (we had our little 2 year old with us

Its All Done By Hand We Have 4 Full Time Washers With 1 Guy Dedicated To Prepping And Washing New Cars. 1 Guy Is The Detail Expert. Honestly I Have Been Putting All Dark Cars Under The Microscope With Him Without Him Even Knowing. Being That I Ordered Jet Black And Ive Read Some Of The Horror Stories On Here I Have To Tell You.. Im Very Afraid... I Really Am ... Scared Shit!!!! This Guys Pretty Damn Good. I Rarely See Any Swirls When Hes Done. And If I Do Its On A Car That Came In In Pretty Bad Shape

A transient 3 week and 6 day coma is also recommended as it eases the pain
