It is possible to code it with NCS Expert (installed on a e9x series) or do you have to flash/code using Esys and a bench setup?

I am planning to move from DVBT to DVBT2 and I am not sure on what module should I have to buy and how to code/flash it properly

Best Regads
It was done on a bench by John (ccfj1) who i found on M3Cutters forum. Exactly what he did, i dont know. It just worked when he sent it back!

IIRC, when i was researching this, you can do it using NCSExpert but i dont have a copy nor the files (nor probably the skills).

Hi mate,
Could you tellme if you have 'Europe West' at 'Tv Standard' menu?

I have bought a module like yours (same box) but, once installed I have 'automatic' and a lot of regions but not Europe West. So I dont know if it is ok for my country or it is only a coding issue.

With the new one (Dvb t2) only 10 stations are found while the old one (Dvb t1) can find 30+ channels.

I also have your same problem... no signal message even when stations are found

Next step, try to flash it...

Thanks for your support!

Hi,

When changing the antenna for the E90, in order to receive a signal from it, is it attached additionally at the back, because I no longer have free inputs, or are the pins on the socket itself, which is connected to the big socket connected to it?

Thanks if someone know answer this question it will help me a lot.

This is cool and something I would like to add in the future.

However the first thing that comes to mind...wouldn't you need some subscription or something? Or is everyone watching just free-to-air channels?

And while I always prefer OEM(+) parts, the solution mentioned on page 1, does seems much easier and gives more options. (at a price).

I think the upshot of this is that the factory DAB antenna cannot be used to also feed a TV module.

Think I'm going to order a second Ampire to plug into the middle brown antenna port.

Just need to find somewhere hidden to fit the antenna's, as being a convertible using the windows or roof wouldn't be the best.
May i ask you which fuse did you use for the Video unit behind the uint there are if i am not wrong 5 cable out 2 goes to the CIC one to the ground block and 2 will be the power cables, but i am not sure which fuse to use.

good afternoon all, Me again i have completed the retrofit and now i have an issue when i try to search for channels the bar is not moving and not searching any channels.

set up is as follow:

Coding completed on CIC
VO added both DAB ( i have a new CIC with DAB) and TV function (601)
CIC ( CIC.C1A)
Aerial are OEM for e 93
TV unit is DVB-T
FBAS cable correctly plugged ( 2-7-8 on unit and 18-27-28 on CIC)
unit is connected and no issues as i can see it in ISTA and there is no errors
Most is connected correctly and working.

however when i go on ista and look at the aerial testing it tells me that i need to activate TV function first ( but i am not sure what it means as the coding is been done and the VO is been added unless i missed something)

question have i missed any coding other than CIC and VO?

can anybody help please.

Can you access the TV through the CIC?

The TV works a little different from CCC to CIC

There is a thread somewhere on another forum on how i figured mine out.

Just take cic out. Take the white connector on main connector out. Black connector is inside that. (Mine maybe a little different as i have my backup camera Pinned in there too)
Move-pin 2 to pin 12
Move-pin 4 to pin 2

Coding
TVM_VARIANTEN
vm_l4_most_fkat = activ

the car didn't have the function so it is all from scratch the unit is DV-T like it should be the FBAS are in the correct slots as for wiring from BMW both in the unit and the CIC. should the unit be vm_l4_most_fkat and not DVB-T?

i am not sure what is the issue.
