I am bit confused about PPK flash. I have read somewhere on the forum saying that only dealer can do it, but it seems independent coding guy can do it as well.. Any difference?

The wheels were impossible to keep clean with the stock pads, the akebonos make it easy , plus a 5 piece wheels washing kit.

I'll be getting a mine detailed again soon, needs a clay and machine polish for sure. Quick wax works a treat when you wash |

Not sure what the stage 1 is but it might be because it comes with hardware as well.
The PPK is a flash as well as some extra upgraded hardware. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=289850 But yeah, people worked out how to flash it for free, I paid for a persons time to do the flash , rather than the flash itself. http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31885 |

There are heaps of online guides and youtube vids, and if you have the time it can be a very satisfying DIY especially with a black car! |

I live in an apartment with no wash bay and my parents garage is taken up. I would have to do it on the street in sunlight, It is possible but I would prefer to take a full day or two and have it in a sealed parking space so I can take my time. Ive wanted a Rupes Bigfoot 2 for a while now, one day. https://www.carcareproducts.com.au/p...lhr21e_mark_ii

Yeah ideally you need a weekend to do a big detail, but perhaps you could try the new all in one mezerna compound/wax. Pierre from CCP has stated its great for quick detailing and produces a good finish (ideal if you want to conduct a quick detail before selling a car) but for a really deep gloss its best to stick to compounding and a dedicated wax. You dont need a rupes to produce a good finish, just makes things easier for a RO with a bigger throw like the rupes does and has a bit more grunt then a normal RO (I make do with a cheap porter cable RO and a hitachi rotary for heavy compounding) |

I want a rupes because they and so many experts always say you basically cant destroy your paint with it haha, even holding it on a single spot its super safe.

PRE-LCI Mirrors LCI Mirrors They are covers, not replacements. They come with 3M tape to stick them on, I found this to be pretty crappy, its almost impossible to push them into place evenly in one go, and the red tape shows on the sides, plus certain edges dont stick down. Over time I feel like they would have falllen off. I removed the 3M tape and used silicone haha, worked a treat, the covers get closer down so there is less of a gap/no gap really and you can move them into place then let them dry. Obviously not reversible, but im not removing them anytime soon.
