Who says you can't get v2? A LOT of ppl are currently running v2; not all who ordered it, but in due time, Shiv and the gang @ Vishnu will be caught up; supply vs. demand...supply = low and demand = high.

btw -- just in case you didn't know, you can remove the speed limiter on PROcede v2; not for me personally, but others will do it (for dyno testing as Shiv puts it).

Amazing thread. It's all about perspective and priorites. After driving an e36 M3 for 10 years and knowing how expensive getting any noticable bump in power was/is plus the drivability/reliability concerns, $1995 with warranty seems like a damn good deal. Yeah, I get it, more power/flexibility for less $, etc. They'll sell a bunch still.

Remember folks we can take out our piggybacks out before we bring it to the dealers and still have our warranty covered! No warranty issue here for me..Dinan you get a reflash and when they offer more horsepower you have to pay more out of the ass

I'm guessing that Dinan doesn't know the torque limit for the autos because people having been running significantly more torque than his flash for over a year now without any transmission related issues. In fact, I don't think i've heard of a single transmission related issue out of the auto yet, stock or modified. So if Dinan does know, it doesn't seem to have any correlation with his torque numbers.

I wonder if they'll sell their free flow exhaust and the reflash as a package deal. This set up plus higher octane should get you nearly 400 hp at the crank under warranty. Plus you can leave the parts in when you sell the car and charge more money. It's expensive but may be worth it. I can't wait for the reviews/tests.

Maybe you should fix the bulb and check and add oil?

oo now i get it....i was thinking maybe dinan found the limit and set their product up to be a little less than the limit for safety

Thumbs down Cost of ownership.....

Just a little comparison of the real cost of the Dinan Flash versus others......

The Dinan Software cost a shocking 11X more expensive to own than JBR2 and 3X than Procede V2!!!

Dinan is also coming out with a cai and a LSD for the 335. The intake is going to be under 1k and i didnt get the info on the lsd. This came from Eric at Dinan in cal. He told me this over a month ago along with the tune info.Looks like he was right when he told me the flash will be out in the beginning of december at a cost of 2k. He also told me to expect 50 or more hp,around 70 ft. lbs trq.,better driveability and top speed limiter removal.

I can see a stage package deal in the future consisting of a Dinan cai, tune, exhaust, lsd, that will produce some really nice power along with a heavy duty price tag.

I honestly think the DINAN is worth the extra $500. I just recently sold my modded G35, it was twin turbod, had a 6speed manual transmission swap from an automatic, and everything about my car was modded. My engine blew and i had to pay for a completely new engine. My car had absolutely no warranty whatsoever. Having gone through that bullshit experience, i learned that a warranty is your best friend. :]
Im planning on getting a 335i coupe in January, and i was debating between DINAN and the Procede. Right now im leaning toward the DINAN just because of the warranty, however i would like a little more HP and TQ that the Procede. Only if there was a way to combine the extra power and the warranty :]
just my 2 cents.
