Threw on a set of Akebono Euro pads and bled the brake system with INPA and then the old way with a pressure bleeder

Threw a set of M3 mirrors with oem cf caps on the E92. I've wanted these for a long time and managed to come across a set that had the glossy bits, power folding/memory and autodimming features, just like the non-M mirrors on my own car.

Pretty happy with them but I'm not sharing photos of them on my car until it's off jackstands!

All done. Took me around 2 weeks on and off between work. Big hole in the downpipe with a patch is to clear the steering shaft knuckle area. The pipe is still 100mm one way but squashed to 90mm the otherway where the flat bit is. Still should flow very well.

Not really always more stuff to do.
Need an oil drain flange and more 4 inch pipe for an exhaust. Ill start it when I get the drain flange.

Job well done Brule. It will be good to see it on the car and how it performs.

Tucked away the hard plastic vacuum tube that is exposed on my N54, slowly getting there with engine bay aesthetics!

I believe I have fixed my clutch pedal issue - culprit turned out to be a clutch hard line fitting that was leaking and not the slave cylinder failing as originally thought.

I think there was insufficient slack on the lines underneath the car as I did a CDV delete and removed about 4-5cm worth of slack from the system.

What I did was drill out the restrictor in the CDV and refitted it, and replaced the slave cylinder and hard clutch line that sits between the slave cylinder and the CDV, then bleed the system. Test driving it tonight so hopefully no issues!

In the meantime, I wrapped some of my interior trims as I bought a CIC trim awhile back that I didn't get around to, and I also had a couple of air con vent trims that I wrapped quite poorly when I originally did them a couple of years back.

This is how my interior looks right now:

All is good, except I have uncovered an issue with my brake booster after switching to Akebono pads. I am getting a hissing sound from my brake pedal when I press it (need to press it a lot harder since Akebono pads don't bite like OEM do) and I don't think that's very safe lol.

I think I nipped a seal or something in the brake booster assembly during the manual conversion process :. Ordered everything I need to replace the whole booster/master cylinder system, hopefully back on the road and ready for some fun soon. Gotta love cars lol!

Made 4 inch exhaust.
Took me around 3 days.

Absolute pain getting under the car 50+ times and cutting joins with no gap with a 5 inch grinder.

Its nearly done just needs exhaust hangers and an extra 50mm in the tip.

Looks good Brule. It will be interesting to see how much noise it makes and whether it drones in the cabin. I would imagine the ripple strips at shopping centre car parks will be a hazard to avoid.
