There's very little fun to be had with it I had it all at Mid-Ohio that weekend. I will admit though, being able to focus down onto braking and turning offered a nice new perspective...

Replaced transmission fluid/filter and transfer case fluid and lost 5 years worth of brain life.
Transmission fill plug was stripped and over torqued so I had to chisel it out for ages to this point it came out. Transfer case bolts were both stupid difficult to access due to the fact the xdrive system in this chassis is 110% an afterthought so no regards were made to servicing and makes every job harder in whatever area an xi component is. Had to remove a 14mm hex and use a crowfoot to get stuff out. Transfer case had close to no fluid inside so that's great. Then struggled for ages to get the bracket and 18mm in place. Fun weekend.

Did some reading on how to do MHD pulls/logs and gave it a try yesterday. Not sure I know what I am doing, but on the live boost monitor I saw 18.7, in the log I saw upper 14s. Oil temp never got higher than 235. IAT was around 115.
MHD Stage 1+, is this normal, low, high?

Noticed something odd about my second 330i project car.
Whenever it sits for over a week, it goes into some deep sleep and will not unlock or lock with the remote- once I unlock it manually with the key (causing the lights to flash signaling it's been unlocked) The remote then works for the remainder of that week. I'm charged the battery, but maybe it's low? I don't know it's just interesting behavior. |
