I guess I could ship it to you, too - I just know most shipping companies are backed up due to COVID. (Yes, I realize that’s quite a drive!) |

Heyo! If I was in Tuscaloosa I'd definitely head over there but unfortunately I'm down on the Mississippi coast (I go to school at UA, but "home" is South MS). I wonder what the quickest it could get here is...it's a shame shipping is such a unpredictable thing lately. I went ahead and ordered one on Amazon but it's not supposed to be here until Friday, which is technically too late since I'm supposed to be leaving that day. Do you think it'd be possible for you to overnight it, and would you want it back or would you rather me buy it off of you/buy you a new one? |

A car loan only really helps if you buy the car and pay it off before trying to get a mortgage. Otherwise it is just seen as outstanding debt, less monthly income, and will actually hurt what you can afford.

I suggest a little research on credit and how it's calculated, how scores are effected by new credit card, loan and credit limit usage. The goal is to use as little of the credit limit as possible and only apply for it when it's absolutely necessary.

Replaced my alternator and pulled manifold off to replace the starter.
I was unaware that the n54 starter rear bolt is more annoying to get to than the n52 one! I didn’t have a flex head ratchet to remove it.

You're gonna drop a few thousand dollars on inspections, fees, commissions and taxes. The entire process is designed to make money for all the middlemen. We've also never had a car payment and pay the credit card monthly. It was never an issue for a lender. |

2 years after retrofitting CIC into my fathers I finally got the Nav up and running.
Finally found someone local with an ICOM to update the firmware to C1A. Got home and made new FSC codes (One of the easiest things I've ever done of course after getting a working version of FStools) |

Sexy e90
'08 328xi bought 3 months ago. All badges/wheel caps swapped for black/white ones. Front grill swapped for gloss black. Installed new taillights and black sidemarkers today. Headlights on the way. Soon to be followed by black wheels and tint. My first BMW. I love this car.

Was curious and found out this difference with some spare springs on hand. The E90 rwd and E60 awd front springs are nearly identical, Same number of coils and shape. Both upper spring seat pads are the same part number.
I was planning on swapping the x-drive upper mount (on my E61 x-drive) to the E90 awd one from the stock one(e90 sport) and give it a 8mm drop. but maybe if I can source an alternate oem spring thats marginally stiffer and an extra 10mm drop PLUS works with stock shocks Id be extremely happy D4 (manual 323/325/328 sedan) vs F2 (auto 525/528/530 sedan/wagon) |

I wonder what the spring rates are for the E60. There's a post on what they are for the E90 in the suspension subforum

Measurements were D4 Spring: 11.5mm dia , 311mm Length Vs F2 Spring: 13mm Dia , 298mm length.
For reference other info I found for the D8 spring was 12.25mm Dia , 336mm Length; So for sure stiffer than the E90 but not sure if it'll lower or be similar height |

The Mtech 1 is more subtle and I like that! I can drive this thing until the brakes are stinking and no one gives a second look. |

Currently cutting up the rear diffuser I just bought. They only make them for E91 M Sport bumpers, and trying to fit it to an E90 Base bumper (with a 135 muffler) has this project very involved lol. Lots of cutting.
Almost done with the muffler clearance, then onto narrowing it down. Its a little too wide and the extensions on the side are at the wrong angle, for now.. Edit: While I'm not 100% happy with it, it turned out better than I thought it would with minimal modification. Didn't end up cutting it up anymore than the muffler like I thought I would

Ripped out my universal oil cooler. In the 3 months I've had it, the one of the oil lines frayed at the oil filter housing twice, spraying oil EVERYWHERE and leaving me on the side of the road. Yesterday, after I got home from getting an alignment (installed M3 control arms), I noticed a trail of fluid leading up to my driveway. There was a puddle of oil on my bumper lip. The oil cooler line I had replaced was now leaking oil from a different spot but this time I was lucky enough to be at home to catch it. So over this.
My 335 is a 2007 so the OFH didn't have a tstat/oil cooler. I got an updated one off a 2011 135i but now have to switch back to the stock OFH (thankfully I still have it) as soon as the new gaskets come in. Not sure why this has been happening so often but I definitely don't recommend this if anyone is thinking about doing it. |
