Well... E46. Front brakes, just 1 &1/2 . Some how I just got slow in my advanced age...

In my defense, they were a mess. Not done correctly last time. Went to 3Pedaljake level of cleaning components, well almost his level.

Nothing better than doing a job correctly, I went down that rabbit hole when I did my front brakes a few months ago. You know, when you put it all together and decide to clean the wheel wells then refinish the calipers and then the inside of the wheels.

New Windshield seal. Not a hard job, just kind of annoying.

That way I could be lazy and install the bracket without removing the O2 sensor. Ended up not being able get a nut and bolt on the upper mount cause its hella tight so I'm just rocking it with one bolt on the cat bracket. I guess one bolt is better than none.....
This view is so helpful. It looks like you can replace the downstream O2 sensor without removing the cats!
Yeah if you have a 02 sensor socket (I think its 7/8ths) you can get to it from the top. Just a little tight.

Tried to remove my driver's side wheel arch liner to access the washer bottle, as I think the pump filter might be clogged. Failed miserably. Turns out I'll need three plastic rivets that I don't have, so I stopped before I did any damage.
Why anyone thought it was a good idea to put the tank behind the wing is anyone's guess.

Pulled my rear seat out to inspect the fuel pressure regulator since I have been smelling gas, and yep sure enough it is cracked and leaking out gas. So had to order a new one from FCP, good thing I'm only driving my car for 2 days this week.

Got a Blackstone oil analysis done a while ago.

Looks like everything is good except for high copper levels.

Is that concerning?

I didn't do it, but I paid a man to torch out all four studs at the collector, slip two new gaskets in and put new bolts in it.
The old hardware had gone back to the earth.
and just like that magically the 55-57MPH cruising throttle vibration I've been trying to track down for a year is gone. Who'd have thunk it was the exhaust vibrating?

How much did this experience cost me?
$53.50
He was done in 20 minutes. Sometimes it's worth taking your junk somewhere. Exhaust work is about the only thing I don't do.

I rotated the tires and thankful for those lug hangers which made the job much easier.

I highly recommend getting a set. They're a bit bit pricey but worth every penny if you're going to work on these cars. I also made some wood blocks that fit inside the jack pads so they don't get crushed by the weight of the car.

I've got one of these too. Very useful for us Beemer owners.

They don't crush. The blocks are not necessary.

More like what someone else did to my car. . .Got clipped in a parking garage. The other driver was considerate enough to leave a note and initiated a claim with her insurance company before I even knew what happened. Good news is, the pre-existing scratch visible at the bottom of the bumper will be taken care of as well.

Should I consider anything other than a stock bumper replacement (E91 btw)?

Sorry to hear, but happy that it gets replaced! Hopefully for free or not a big deductible.

If you have the funds, or can talk your insurance company into it, go for an OEM M Sport rear bumper if possible. They might let you pay the difference in price.

Ouch! That's really kind of them to step up, do the right thing, and leave a note.

Perhaps the EU taillights? They look the same but have amber indicators.

That is quite the bump, it’s amazing that she left a note but there is probably video of it also. I would replace it with a Sport bumper if it was my car.
