Maybe even get some help from BMWCCA wonderkind and set up some DIYs. My dealer is not expensive, but 5-8 hours at any BMW shop is going to be $

It is coming so you have to wait. They are looking at all the details. There is a unit that does seem to be an exact fit and meets specification (complete drop in) as Bmwmike has (It cost a lot more than you will pay). You may have the unit a lot sooner than you think but let’s give the vendor a chance to validate the product.
Honestly, feel free to call them. All I’m doing is trying to give an update for those who are busy. The List: Please don’t put your name on the list as it is no longer I use. The Quaife is in my car and it took 6.5 hours to install. Nixon Automotive said it went smoothly and it's a perfect fit. I'm going back after 2K km's to have the rear end oil changed just as a precaution.

I posted a little update within here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...337#post737337
Once go home traffic lightens up I’ll head out again to test it more. I drove a GM rental today so that screwed up my senses. Overall, it's a noticeable good improvement. |

Most Quaifes are 693 BritPounds = $1350. I guess that's the price we will pay, plus shipping?

i wish i can get this too. maybe later. just a thought, since you guys are getting this install, i strongly suggest to ask the installer to change out your rear sway bars to H&R. this will save you alot of money in the futrue. to install the rear sway bar you must drop the rear sub frame down.

What are your impressions of the H&R sway bars?

They are ridiculously oversized for street use. The rear H&R bar is 6x times stiffer than stock. It is to extreme to fix a bit of under steer and then induce a twitchy rear end at speed and will defiantly suck in the rain. IMO the car is very good as is. Putting in an LSD will reduce understeer. The other options are Eibach which are perfect especially if dump the RFT tires or you can get the BMW M-Tech sway bar at 14 mm (oddly that is the only difference between a M-tech and sport suspension to date).

BMWMike has some interesting things to say bout this LSD over in the driveline mod forum.
Anyone else driven a car with Quiafe LSD in it ? I've only driven clutch style LSD cars and personally, I may look into the TMS unit if this LSD feels as odd as he says. anyone ? |
