Agreed - think I'm going to sit on them for the moment. Thanks again for the tip Also just bought some XTR - supposed to be going places quite soon, but we'll see.

What tips do you guys have to offer to get into share dealing?
I'm 22, and have a some cash set aside that I would like to invest in stocks and shares. Currently I have a spread bet account, with CMC Markets that I have used for over a year and have made a small profit on. However I presume you guys are actually buying/selling via a broker? I have an account with i-Web share dealing, but haven't really used it. I use Share Cast and shareprice.co.uk to read up on the markets and get current prices. I have a share save with my employer, but other than that I have no experience of this. Any tips or advice would be appreciated, as I want to ease into gently and understand the workings of it before investing seriously. |

Tesco down over 15% today, wonder if it is worth buying a few while they are down at this level or maybe there is some more to drop. I think they issued warnings on future profit as well, which could be an indicator that they have more to fall....

Personally up about £15k on GKP and even DPL are over 7.5p which is good as I got in at 5.63p Plenty more potential on GKP but a lot of games will be played out over the coming months, if you need the money then take a profit but if not sit back and bite your finger nails....... Even Encore have moved over to Premier now so better potential. Am down £5k on these but long term should be fine. |

DPL is still worth a punt if you are prepared to hold for a few years. |

I knew I should have bought more at the low prices 6 months ago but you have to draw the line somewhere. A profits a profit, it's easy to be greedy. |

I see Tesco as a good buy, they have had massive downturn due to uk results when people forget the majority of their business is emerging markets. They are very well positioned to make alot of money this summer in London to boost uk sales. The funny thing is Sainsburys had pretty much the same increases but reporting it is a different matter. JS have invested heavily in extending stores and refreshing 'tarting up' existing, which increases sales and can be included in like for like sales figures. Tesco have gone for the new space, new store route which cannot be included in like for like sales comparison. Buy now would be my call
