I would get the Dinan flash all day long,BMW gave them the encryption to work with the stock ecu,This car will be the most reliable of them all,It also has a full warenty and who knows with an exh,it might be putting down some decent numbers.

Just wait for when dinan has a sale and pick it up,I used to know a guy that had the dinan computer at my local shop(they were a dinan dist.) and he would flash my car for half the prices.

All you need is a close buddy at a dealership to give ya a liitle hook up.

I honeslty dont know why some wouldnt buy this over the others,You can't void the driveline warenty and its making great power.

Not to diss the procede but that thing to this day dosnt have a solid map that dosnt throw a code or two(no offence but its the truth)Maybe shiv Should just release a solid map that will be stable and not go for the most power and have people posting about limp/cel on here all the time.

I have had my dinan stage 3 software on my e36 M3 for 5 years and I never to this day got a check engine light.Well that had to do with the tune lol but the software has been rock solid.

I also have to agree with many of the folks in this thread.

The added power and retention of the warrenty is worth 2K alone.

Also, the fact that there probably wont be any check engine lights at all is also nice...

i am one of those people that likes to keep the warranty having had some previous cars that needed costly work but was covered by the warranty. One thing I would worry about with the other systems. Yes you can remove them before you take you car to the dealer, but it seems that each time they update the software it can give more information about the car. Isnt it possible that one of the future versions of the software may be able to detect the piggyback systems. I dont know if it is possible or not, just something I wondered.

Why are there people trying to guess the price of the Dinan ECU reflash?

It clearly states at the bottom that it's gonna cost $1999.........

you need to have the stock oil cooler that came on the car for the tune.Or if you dont you will need to get the Dinan one or get a stock one put on.If you have a car with the sport package i believe you should have the oem oil cooler on your car already.Call your dealer and ask them about your build date and oil cooler. They will ask you for your last 7 digits of your vin # and will tell you if you have it or not.

jesus christ. at only $700 more than the procede, basically the same power, and a guaranteed coverage warranty against defects with far better reliability, an integrated dealer network. fuck the procede.

Tell me more about the DINAN oil cooler. I have the BMW oil cooler, and I think it is not enough for the track. Can you run the Dinan cooler in addition to the BMW one? Where does it mount? How big?

I think I'll get the Dinan re-flash and then piggy back PROcede on top of that to get 1000hp and 1000tq and then I'll put all of those E46 M3 and E90 M3 posers to shame.

Can I have my medicine now?

And you can't take it with you, move it from car to car, or sell it when you get rid of the car like the other tuners equipment.

When I spoke to the DINAN rep he said that the DINAN oil cooler would be twice the size of the stock one. I must've heard him wrong but I thought he said it would cost ~$2000 . As far as location he didn't say, so I would assume it goes in the same location.

YES, absolutely.

Well, not entirely voided (that is not possible no matter what anyone tells you), but a related repair will not be covered.

Any other non Dinan or BMW mod on the car will cause warranty issues. Neither Dinan or BMW will cover you. Dinan treats other mods just like BMW. They blame whatever isn't theirs and try to not cover the repair. Many people don't know this.

So let's say you have the Dinan flash and some catback... you will not be covered.

Correct, if the other tuners will not back up the product with warranty it's a crap shoot for owners. I'v got over 50k in this car and I am not about to plug in a product that will not back me up in the event of a problem. Say want you like about Dinan, I am not a big fan either, but come on they back up the product with a warranty that no other product can touch.

Excellent. More competition. Save the comparisons for actual testing.

When I brought my m3 in for a checkup I asked if my AA tuning exh voided my warenty and they laughed at me,So I guess some dealers are a little different.

Looks like once you go dinan you need to stay with them and wait for there exh and downpipes. Those will cost an are and a leg.I can remember the e39 M5 headers were like 10k
