Today I tried to fit a new obd cover from china but didn't fit so new one ordered . Then off to my mates garage to give her service . But on the way when I went over 40mph a loud knocking noise with vibrations I could here like a flat tyre so I stopped looked all round car but nothing got to garage then looked turns out my rear o/s calliper is sticking alloy was red hot so got to sort that now . But car now has had a full service so that's good 😀 got codes read nothing there inc start/stop malfunctioning so hopefully new battery will sort it.

I just got back my 335i from the body shop. I had the hood and front bumper repainted. I did an engine detail and installed a MAD chargepipe. I also will be installing a MAD fmic when it arrives. I am getting new R1 rotors and pads installed Monday and having the calipers painted. It is getting a paint correction on Wednesday. Lastly I will be installing M359 wheels and new tires when they arrive.

Just in case people are looking for the pixel display, I found it on Ebay here for 2006+ E9X

For the older CD73 radios, this looks to be it maybe?

I received tracking information on the MTech rear bumper and lined up getting it painted Let's hope that the car will be back to normal in about ten days. State Farm has the owners information, a woman but it was a guy that hit and ran the car so he's close to getting caught.

I will do that!!!

Soooo, begs the question, can the newer non-Alpine Professional units be swapped in? I can find one at the wrecker for $25. Plug and play, or coding, or hardware changes needed?

This is a good question. I think you may require coding at least, if all the harnesses are the same.

I received a donor pro unit from a 2010xi to fit into my 2009 328 and it works, but constantly come up with codes since it wasnt registered in. No problems with functionality though.

Drove around with MHD's sport cooling mode and noticed the oil temp was 210 instead of 250, and felt bad for all the plastic parts in the engine bay that had such a hard life for no good reason.

Most of the parts are in for service

Can't wait to have it back. Its been so long I forgot how hard the steering is.. It'll definitely be better than ever though. An 06 330xi with an 09+ engine thats been fully resealed and a 2nd gen ZF, also resealed. Aside from a SC this things going to be one dialed daily. It wasn't bad before, but now even better.

I left the house last Sunday and drove Dallas -> Santa Fe, then Santa Fe -> Durango Monday, then Durango -> Ouray on Tuesday. All ~900 miles were great and it was awesome to enjoy all the upgrades since making the same trip a year ago. Much improved quality of life. Since then I added:

In the car:
- p3gauge to monitor coolant temps
- 335 cluster with oil temp gauges (and custom speedometer)
- wood shifter knob
- euro armrest (freakin love it)
- passenger side glasses holder for my wife's sunglasses
- mag safe phone charger + phone cradle for good GPS visibility
- euro headlight/fog switch (thanks 4doors!)

Under the hood:
- new starter
- 3SIM + 330 tune
- new voltage regulator
- BMW performance air intake
- BMW performance strut bar
- new water pump
- new tstat
- new CSF racing radiator
- new hoses & reservoir
- new ground straps
- new ofhg

Amazing it took a whole year to get all that done, but felt great to enjoy it all.
