Field Repair

So took my wife to the doc's today. I drop her at the front door. Backing up to park the E90, I hear a rubbing/scraping sound from the left rear; fck, now what's wrong! After the appointment, backing up again, we both hear the same sound; I'm thinking maybe the parking brake is dragging (BTY, it's adjusted perfectly).

At the pharmacy, I get out, look at the right rear wheel. I see the problem. Open the rear door. Take care of it. Get back in, continue to back up, no sound! My wife says, "You can fix anything!" I just smiled, reached behind my seat to the passenger footwell, and showed her the long rubber air deflector that sits in front of the rear wheel...

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Lol. Yeah, it had torn laterally across the top from inboard to outboard and was hanging on by a 1/4" of rubber. The inside edge was dragging on the pavement.

Well, it was old and seen a lot of miles. Probably a stick got it when the chassis was sitting low of the POS Bilsteins and H&Rs.

And no, I've never used gas treatments.

I went back to stock M-sport suspension. It's now broken in. It's a perfect balance of comfort, handling, and ride height.
