M3 control arm question
Found a great deal on M3 front lower control arms ($100). Can I replace just the lowers or do I have to do lower and upper?

You can run the M3 tension struts with stock wishbones. I currently have this set up

My stock tension strut bushings had failed so the solid M3 bushings were a significant upgrade - stiffer, sharper and more responsive. There is also a corresponding increase in NVH. With that said, I have M3 wishbones waiting to be installed. The M3 wishbones replace the inner bushing with a bearing, so I wonder if the decrease in spring rate there would better match the increased spring rate with the M3 tension strut bushing.
