Big shout out to Matt@ZNMPERFORMANCE for the clean install. Looking forward to testing the car out this weekend.

I'm pushing for 550 AWHP. I was having timing and decided to upgrade plugs and coils.

Ok, not knocking the product, but my stock coils are $120 and good for 550whp and 100k miles.

you can buy them directly from Precision Raceworks. I had Matt@ZNMPerformance install them since the bracket is for N54.

I will welcome any new beneficial product. It should also allow you to open your gap back up instead of having to narrow it so much like with the stock coils.

I think the biggest benefit comes from charge rate. You are effectively advancing timing by running coils that can charge and fire quicker vs stock coils that take longer to charge between firing.

Not sure why people think opening the gap is where the main gains are. The one person who posted up their whp gains kept gap the same before and after installing the coils... then explained the gains are because of opening the gap lol... how so if they didn't even change gap? Made 0 sense.

I haven't ever seen anyone pull a plug from an n54/n55 and note that combustion was not occurring efficiently on the back side of the strap... even with a tight gap. Combustion efficiency is also a function of chamber design and N/54/N55 does us well in that regard.

Robert Precision Raceworks is looking into where he can mount them and run wires. N55 doesn't have as much space to work with as the N54. The intake over the engine really causes some issues, but I trust he will have something available in the near future. I really like what I see so far.

Yeah, don't even need any mods, just press the sport button.

What turbo do you plan on using to make 550 AWHP?

Also, what is your plan for fueling since doesn't look like you have PI or TBI?

PS2 just go put in and for fueling, I'm still debating but possibly PI and meth for IAT's if I see it necessary.

Sorry to revive an old thread but figured it may be more suiting than a new one.

Does the stock engine cover still fit over this setup?
