It doesn't matter, they all work the same way.

My car was tuned by ESS remotely. I have a performance shop (ocdworks.com) with a dyno and am an East Coast ESS dealer. My engine is N52B30 with 3stageIM conversion. I dont believe anyone in the USA got the N52B25.

The MAF is on the inlet side, drawthrough. As hassmachine said, ESS made the Alpha-N map after fine tuning things on their development car.

Oh, I thought your car was the '06 E91 325xi with a 2.5L engine. So you have a 325 with a 3.0L engine.

I will check my '07 this weekend and pull the MAF/IAT sensor this weekend and look at it.

it's the same sensor. If they changed anything it would be extremely minor.

Install complete. Rhombus and Kisho, few questions. Any issues installing the charge pipe. My throttle body OD is about 84.6 mm. The charge pipe ID is about 88.3 mm. It required me to wrap silicon wrap tape around the throttle body flange to make up the difference as a temporary solution. Also it took 2 grown men, a lot of forceful twisting and bending, a lot of cussing, an over an hour of repeated tries to get the charge pipe secure on both mounting flanges of the supercharger and throttle body. Seems like the pipe would be easier to mount if it was 1/2" - 3/4" longer. Sure enough on the test drive today, charge pipe came off. Arghhhhh!!! Any advice guys and/or similar experience?

Email/Call ESS. They had a first gen charge pipe that was 15mm too short. They have an updated charge hose that should fit perfect.

Interesting, thanks rhombus. Already spoke to Hans and he's working on it. He also told me my charge hose is not correct somehow as the inlet is suppose to be 84mm where mine is 88mm.

Did you end up using the lower idler pulley bracket/pulley? I have a casting on my block that doesn't allow me to use this piece. Hans reassured me that this is a known fitment issue and told me it is not neccessary.

Also had to remove a fender brace. I have a coupe and the instruction manual says it only needs to be removed for convertibles.

The instruction manual needs quite a few updates to make installation a lot more clearer with less confusion. A instruction manual for the fuel sending unit replacement would of been very helpful too.

I used the lower pulley. Glad they took care of you on the charge hose. I have had excellent customer support experiences with them.

I just had this happened today. I thought that charge pipe was shorter too! Just emailed them to get me the correct one. Same issue with that extra pulley they had. Broke my tensioner trying to get that belt on with all the pulleys, quite frustrating with the outdated instructions.

I was able for now to use some fittings from auto zone, stock intake pipe going to throttle body cut up, and silicon tape to make it all work. The correctly sized charge pipe is enroute to ESS from India. There is indeed a bad batch of silicon charge pipes which measure 88mm as opposed to the correct size of 84mm on the throttle body side.

What has been happening with this? There hasn't been an update in a while. Did the fuel thing get sorted out? Does the VT1+ kit work with the AA headers?

Honestly there needs to be some bigger injectors developed for the n52 to yield any more gains from the vt1+. Bigger injectors so the fuel can be altered even further for the headers and hopefully an intercooler

As I creep closer to decision time, and its been many many months since my original interest in this product, I'm just amazed at how little information has been posted by customers of this kit. If I ever do purchase it I will have tons of info, videos, etc. I don't get it.

Yea it's really shocking how little has come out for this kit. I wasn't expecting a huge take rate but expected at least one deep dive review. Best of luck to those taking this on!

I'm gonna be getting mine after deployment in late April. There will be a post with videos and dynos shortly after.

So digidon's turbo build thread has been very informational. There are bigger injectors that fit our cars that you can see listed in his thread and he also has added a walboro fuel pump inline with oem. Curious if these two upgrades would be able to add intercooling capabilities and be able to tune the car for more power with the aa headers. Just some ideas I don't really know much about what is exactly holding the potential of this kit back Thoe.
