Hey guys, is Makkan still around?

I've got an F06 m6 gran coupe now and need his kind of no BS advice on diagnostics etc. (Code reading / clearing / feature coding)

I think I need an ENET OBD lead and ESYS software but there's too much garbage online to know what to believe, so I've come back here to find out....

Thanks

Mike

Hi Guys,
I'm new to this forum - and new to BMWs. I picked up my 2012 3-series 330D SE convertible just three days ago! I have always wanted one, so it is a dream come true.

I love the car, but I am so glad that I found this thread because it seems that BMW "forgot" to add some very desirable features.

I really think that a car of this technological sophistication should, at a minimum, have the ability to close the windows and fold the mirrors when locking.

Other stuff that I'd like would include:
Brake force display. (If it isn't already active. I need to check this).
Auto engine stop/start in traffic jams. I am a slave to the A40 in the rush hour.
Close the roof from the key. I cannot understand why this isn't a standard feature.

Hi I had a 61 plate m sport Z4,have you tried keeping the lock button pressed in,this use to close my roof when walking away from the car,and also pressing the unlock button and keeping it pressed used to put the roof down, give it a try you might be lucky x

Coding on E73 (sorry to crash forum)

Hi all, I have an e93 and now I also have a e70.

I see that the e70 can have an auto tailgate, open and close. It is in the manual but the option is not in the settings as advised by the manual. Do I need to ask someone to code it. If so, they could also code the mirrors at the same time.

I did look at the carly BMWHat but it is not clear whether you can set the tailgate to auto using it.

Anyone any ideas and sorry again to post here. But X5 forum seems to have almost no people from UK, unlike this forum.

Thanks to all as you have been very good to me in the past with questions on e93.

Hi,

Apologies for this being my first post, but I have a 2006 E90 325i Msport, and the DRL's really bug me that they are the angel eyes and the xenon's.
If I've got this correct, you can upgrade the footwell module, to overcome this and just have the angel eye drl's, and the welcome lights as the side lights...?

If anyone from around the Northamptonshire area would be able to advice on if this is possible/what module i'd need plus code to my car i'd be very interested.

Also, Is it possible to increase the sensitivity of the automatic wipers? I've read varying things about this.

Any help much appreciated. Many thanks.

I will start with myself.

makkan00
can cover Essex, London, and West Kent.
I can do followings;
F and E series coding
Coding Remotely
If you have a coding cable and software ready and not sure what to do, I can code your car remotely. Done few cars in UK, Norway, and Thailand.

Flashing Modules
1- Alpina Transmission Flash for 335i
only if you have N54 engine and built is 03/07 and onward

(Feedback)
2- Alpina Engine Flash for 320D
only if its pre 03/07 with dpf
3- Security update on all 3 / 1 series (may extend to other series).
useful for 2005-2007 owners who are excluded from dealers list
4- ELV toruble shooting / Steering wheel lock error
(Feedback)

Retrofits / Major codings:
-LCI tail lights retrofitting coding

-Xenon Retrofitting coding (Example)
-Hi-Fi coding of BMW head unit / CCC / CIC
photos of pre and post hi-fi coding

(Feedback)
-FRM2/3 retrofitted to cars with FRM1
Feedback1 Feedback 2
-Registering new battery or change AH on the car to accommodate battery of different AH or change to AGM type.
-CIC DVD playing when driving (for test purpose and off road driving only)
-Dension Gateway / ipod kit coding
-L7 head unit coding to retrofit L7 amp
-Increase brightness of DRLs and Keep them constantly bright (no dimming on parking lights / dipped headlights)
- Heating Seats retrofit coding
- Retrofit Head unit with USB / BT / DAB (example)

Increase Security of your BMW
-Add Chirp sound on locking / unlocking
-Add Visual sign (signal light blinks one time) when you lock your car.
These two helps to make sure that you locked your car. Somebody may have a signal jammer and if you do not hear locking chrip sound or turning signal light going, that means somebody is in the vicinity.
-Increase volume of your OEM security Alarm
-Add High beam flashing with your security alarm (park the car directing your windows of home and if alarm triggered, it will flash high beams to your windows)

Other codings:
- Update maps of CIC
-Add digital speed on speedometer
-Add instant mpg on speedometer (M sports car only)
-Fog light on with welcome light
-Increase the tilt of passenger mirror when reversing
-Wipers return to starting position if car is turned off
-Delete rear number plate LED errors.
-Mirrors folded with key fob
-Windows down with key fob
-Windows not interrupted when doors are opened
-DRLs on all the time on pre-LCI car depending on your light module
-Fog light delete for performance bumper
-Disable seat belt reminder / chime
-Windows switch working for one minute after switching off your car
-Central locking / unlocking button functional without key in ignition
- Add panic alarm on your remote
- Brake Force Display

CIC / Navigation related

CIC retrofit on a car with standard radio / on a car with CCC
CIC with DAB retrofit
Flashing CIC / Combox to latest software
Combox / Bluetooth retrofit
$6FL retrofit with CIC

Hardware work done

So to all other CODERS in UK, please submit your details here.

Thanks.
Hi sorry if this is the wrong process but I'm new to forums and in desperate need. Iv just brought a 06 335i and after the battery going flat whilst having some injectors fitted iv got the dreaded red steering lock problem. Literally nothing works. Had several people look at it and try to clear with this and that but still nothing. I'm gutted. I think I saw you comment in another similar post when I googled the problem. Any advice/help would be much appreciated.

I'm looking for someone who could help with a coding issue I have.

Background:

I had someone code my stereo after I retro fitted, bluetooth and USB aux, everything worked fine.

I then retro fitted cruise control and after coding my steering wheel controls stopped working for my stereo.

I was in discussion with someone who codes remotely sometime ago but due to a number of reasons we never got timings to work out.

I'm looking to see if we recode the stereo again if I can get the steering wheel controls to work again.

I am located in Aberdeen but have access to an ODB cable and can set up remote coding.

Thanks

Deeg

Finally managed to get NCS Expert working again after Loading Win 10... thanks guys for those who gave advice.
But now that it works again, I wanted to turn off the Cold Lamp checking of the Front Fog Lights, KALTUEBERWACHUNG_NSW_L and R in NFRM module... it is in the FSW_PSW.TRC file when you do the initial interrogation but go to NFRM and its not there.
Tried all other installed modules (E90 2010) and its just not in any of the modules...? any ideas...

Thanks
