Wiring ethernet to retrofited CIC E70
Years ago I saw how to wire ethernet to the back of a retrofited CIC. And of course now I can't find it. Does this have to go to the ODB or can the ethernet go directly into the CIC?
My ultimate goal is to flash the CIC using enet protocol in winkfp. If that is even possible, can I also flash the combox the same way? The rest of the E70 is current so I won't be flashing ever again. I have the USB ethernet working for the glove box USB. I assume that can't be used for any flashing right? Thanks |

I wouldn't sure if FSTool would work with just a DCan cable, parts of the guide says to use E-SYS or FSTool I assumed both needed a enet connection.

ETH_TX+ (green/white) to OBD pin 12 ETH_TX- (green) to OBD pin 13 ETH_RX+ (orange/white) to OBD pin 3 ETH_RX- (orange) to OBD pin 11 Spec is for 510 ohm resistor between OBD Pin 16 and OBD Pin 8 FWIW 510 is not a standard 20% value (100,150,220,330,470,680); it's a 5% value which is not typically available locally. 470 works or you can put a couple in series to get closer to spec. Or just order the 510 from somewhere. |
