Apex Ec-7 wheels / Fitment info on E90 LCI - Done

I've been searching but wanted to run a few question here before I pull the trigger. I'm looking at getting the Apex EC-7 wheels in 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 in gunmetal or black. Which do you think would look better on SG E90 LCI?
Would the ET35 be the best offset? With 245/40 and 275/35 tires on - preferably Mich Ps4s or Conti ext sport. Which tire would you get? price matters but not end all. Will the tires rub on a completely stock car otherwise? If they will rub then I'll go down to 235/265 if I have to. I really dont want to have to roll the fenders or get camber plates if I dont have to at this time. Not going extreme here.
Can a newb get some real world advice from the experts here? Thank You.

Anyone? Just really would like to know if the tires will rub or not with 245/275? Lots of searching but no definitive answer. Just Apex saying with an LCI "may" need to roll the fenders or camber plates. I went ahead and bought the wheels listed in Anthracite ET35. Got them from Bimmerworld. No tax or shipping Holding off on tires for now.

+35 offset will be great for your LCI E90. If you want to go with PS4S tires then the 275 rear might be a little big. I'd recommend going 235/265 if you don't want to roll fenders or increase camber.

In terms of looks, I always recommend rolling and/or increasing camber. Rear camber can be adjusted to -3* without any additional parts, however this is a little more than what some would want.

Rolling fenders isn't as invasive as people make it out to be, it's impossible to tell from the surface. Take a look at your rear fenders and feel underneath, there's a small lip that juts out towards the wheel. Rolling just presses this lip against the actually fender, allowing another cm or so of space for the wheels/tires to be more flush.

If I were you, I would roll the fenders and get the 275s in rear.

Happy to jump in here. The Anthracite EC-7's are a great choice when it comes to wheels for your E90. BMW did make some changes to the LCI models, making it a bit more difficult to fit aggressive offsets in the rear. For a direct fit, we typically recommend the following EC-7 fitment:

Front: 18x8.5" ET35 with 235/40-18 tires
Rear: 18x9.5" ET43 with 265/35-18 tires
  • 245/40-18 front tires can be used, but are a touch tall. If lowered, could result in minor scrubbing of fender liner.
  • 275/35-18 rear tires may require rolled fenders and/or negative camber depending on ride height and tire brand/compound.
With that said, the 18x9.5" ET35 you purchased can also work on the rear, but we recommend 255/35-18 tires for a direct fit. Many customers have ran 265/35-18's, but depending on your ride height, and tire brand/compound, a slight fender roll may be needed.

For a comprehensive view of all fitments that can work for your car, check out our fitment guide here. Feel free to shoot us a PM if you have additional questions

I thought the ET43 with a 275 would push the tire too far inward? I may just go with 235/265 and see how it goes. No hurry for tires except getting the Rockflats off would be nice

Im running the same wheel as well. 19x9 +35 and 19x9.5 +31. Sport suspension and no rubbing. 245/35/19 and 255/30/19.

I will be doing a light roll and going 265 in the rear. 18s should be the same just switch the numbers and add 5 to the aspect ratio for the tires.

Imo I could even run a 5mm spacer up front or more with M3 lower control arms(I have the strut mount pin removed as well)

Heres a pic from a little bit a go for reference:

Looks good but interesting tire sizes. The front is a bit taller than the rear. Is the car lowered? Can you send me a couple pics looking up the sides. Maybe close up showing how close the tire is. Do you think the rear fenders will need rolled to go 265's? How do like the tires. Are they the PS4S?

On a pre-LCI E90, the 18x9.5" ET43 would be a bit to conservative. However, BMW did change the design of the rear suspension on the LCI models pushing it out, making your oem wheels to stick out further, but limiting the ability to properly run lower offsets. The 18x9.5" ET43 will not site as flush as the ET35, but will also not be very sunken in, while allowing you to run 265 tires (even some 275 tires) without the need for a fender roll. However, many customers have used the 18x9.5" ET35 in the rear with 265's, but a minor fender roll is typically required.

Looks good! you have plenty of room there but yours is an E92 so I'm not sure how that compares. What backspacing on what width wheels do you have?

Sorry for the late response. Yes mine are PS4S. Tires are great and Id recommend them. Sorry I cannot get any other pictures of the car atm as its in storage for the winter.

The rears you would need a slight roll(which I plan to do) for 265s. Facelift E90s have a touch less room than the rest.

I didn't pick the wheel set(it came with the car) and I guess the front went a little larger to account for the larger wheel gap that these cars have stock. Stock sport suspension also.

Thanks a bunch everyone. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go 235/265 and see how it goes. If it needs a slight roll so be it. I got the wheels and they look awesome! Cant wait to put um on but may be a while since I need to get through the holidays at least. On a side note I was very close to just doing it yesterday because I got a screw in one of the rears. First place I went to said they cant fix runflats?? Anyway Americas Tire not only fixed it but did it for free! I have bought tires from them before so maybe that helped but they have always been great. Got a good quote from them so unless Costco beats it then I'll go there! Happy Holidays - I mean Merry Christmas everyone!

Stick with America's Tire. They beat anyone's prices and the service is great.
Always buy certificates.
I picked up a screw in a tires in the shoulder.
Got a replacement for $30.
Not a month later picked up a screw and couldn't pull over and ruined the tire at the same corner. Replacing for free.
My problem is that the 275/30-19 I run is out of stock in *EVERY* warehouse west of Indiana. It's taking a week to get a single tire. OUCH!

Got the wheels and tires installed today. They fit perfect 235/40 and 265/35 Michelin PS4S on 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 ET35. No rubbing but when I rolled up on one rear tire on the curb so the tire would tuck inside the rear fender it was very tight but wasn't rubbing! 275's would've rubbed for sure. I'm happy. Except for the fact that now you can see the rust on the brake rotors. I'll deal with that later. Thanks to the guys at Apex, Bimmerworld (Black Friday score) and Costco for the $129 off deal on the Mich PS4S's

Reviving this thread since I'm in the middle of doing research on this setup.. I picked up an 09 e90 xdrive (LCI) and right now I'm debating between the et35 and et43 rear offset.. I've read somewhere that the et43 is catered specifically to the lci? also I would really prefer to run 18x9 et35 on the front instead of the 8x5's so that they are the same "style 2" concave..

I mean the model of the wheel shouldnt matter but I run the EC7 on the back of an LCI E90. 9.5 wide and 31 offset with 255 tires (Sport suspension); Pics are a few posts up in the thread
