First off I love saddle brown it looks a little light in the photos but after i get the windows tinted it will look great and also i think i want to switch out the middle arm rest with a black one. Is it possible to order an anthracite headliner from where they have them available and get it shipped? How much do you think it would be? Does Canada get that option?

Has anyone noticed that there are no plastic airbag covers on the sides of the front seats? The Terra on the sedans have a black cover. This look is much cleaner, although the seat flip mechanism is black on the Saddle Brown.

I've had a lot of indecision about what color combinations I want...My 540 was Anthracite Blue/beige interior with poplar trim...Blue is my favorite color so my first choice for the e92 is Montego Blue with jade grey/brushed aluminum trim..however I kind of think that the silver trim w/the grey interior will clash and look weird because they're both so light...so I hope that the black polish trim is available in the Us cause I will most likely choose that as seen in the picture...subtract that autobox and add a manual and that's all me haha...I've been thinking about the Titanium silver w/coral red/black interior and brushed aluminum trim...however I think if the red is any lighter in real life that It might look a little garish with Titanium Silver and that I would tire of it after awhile...plus when it came time for resale it might be pretty difficult to get rid of.

Anyone have pics of saddle w/ burl? I see everything but...
Trying to decide what trim looks best w/ saddle, and I'd like to see the burl. It's the one trim no one's posted yet (to my knowledge). I've seen gray poplar, light poplar, and aluminum...

Gray Poplar. Bleah, its looks completely different, no gray in it...
I have to say, I'm really disappointed in the Gray Poplar. From these pics, its just another brown wood. In the configurator though on BMWUSA, its actually gray and looks gray.
I was originally looking at Monoco Blue with Black leather interior, and aluminum interior trim. Then when I saw the Gray Poplar in the configurator, I started leaning toward that as it kept the interior dark and blended in well. Now after seeing real life pictures of the Gray Poplar, I'm dissappointed. Its another brown wood unless the pictures dont do the gray justice. Im thinking of swaying back to aluminum. These two pics with from the configurator (Black Dakota Leather with Gray Poplar as the interior trim) show what they TELL people it will look like, which is very different than from the above pics in person. GRAY POPLAR FROM THE CONFIGURATOR: and GRAY POPLAR FROM THE REAL WORLD PIC from RLC: Pretty lame, they dont look even remotely like the same color. What gives?!?!? |

But then look at this 1st pic, much darker like the configurator....and in real life it looked somewhere in between like this 2nd pic... It does have brown tones in it but won't look quite like that close up

After seeing Poplar grey in real life, I have to agree with Arbitrage, the real colour is very dark grey with some very tiny areas of brown. An accurate description of this trim would be to describe it as charcoal or anthracite. It's similar to the anthracite maple found in the 5 series, but the poplar grain is more varied than the maple. The 2nd so called real life photo is not even close to the poplar grey that I saw. This photo depicts dominant brown tones, instead of dominant grey for the actual trim.
