335i M sport fog delete - love it!!! pics inside

So I decided to delete fogs and used oem fog delete 335is air ducts....
car is running 10 degrees cooler on a highway and almost 10 less in a city... air supply duct to the oil cooler is twice as large as what it was with fogs... I love the look and it works great! easy retrofit that I would recommend to anyone with m tech front! only $100 invested!!!

replacement ducts are two numbers: 51748050583 and 51748050584 or you can just get a kit from ecs tuning website where i got mine:

http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-335...h/51748050583/

replacement is very easy, passenger side is a direct replacement and driver's side needs some small alterations but it fits really easy!

Looking good! Anything special you have to do to use the 335is ducts? Is it just some trimming?

you just have to cut off most of your tabs from your bumper and leave a couple top ones, I drilled the duct and screwed it to the buyer top tabs on the driver side and passanger side I just screwed it to the oil cooler - fits right in and that's holding it good enough so I left it there!!

I got rid of the bulbs and tucked the cables out of the way around the headlight with some zip ties... coded fog light error codes and that's it!

I want to do this so bad on my pre-lci, non-mtech/m3 front, e90. I cannot stand the foglights or the mesh for that matter and I even did the matte black finishing rods. Will have to investigate further to see of something custom can be done.

maybe, if you want to get rid of them, you can get them out and then mold something with a carbon fiber or fiberglass...

I thought the OP is non-LCI? He doesn't have LCI headlights or side mirrors.

Edit: NM, saw you are wanting to do this on an E90...there's gotta be someone out there who has made this work.

The blackout headlights looks really nice with white car & it blends well with those black bumper openings...

Yea I went from an e92 to an e90 this year, pre-lci, all stock exterior. I have found one auto-x'r that has done it on a pre-lci e90. I also found two great threads, one where a member custom plastic welded M3 ducts to full function on an M-rep bumper install and another on an e92 where he actually eliminated the ducting for a much larger oil cooler and used a second center grille/mesh to match up and fill the void left by no fog light.

I rigged M rep bumper ducts on my friends e90, we cut the oem ducts and attached them to the M3 rep ducts and it worked out great!

I trimmed the tabs on the Oil Cooler side because the duct fits perfectly, got rid of the OEM duct, then driver's side with brake duct I got rid of that one too and I only trimmed the bottom and side tabs and left both top tabs and used them to screw the duct onto the bumper.... hope that helps. Too bad I didn't take pictures while doing it!

Thanks. I think I'll give it a shot.

Edit: so, I looked at the ecs website for the kit. There are tabs on the back of the ducts with screw holes. Did you use those to screw the ducts to the oil cooler? What about the driver side?

And, you got rid of some of the tabs from the bumper, right? Not the duct itself.

Sorry for these questions, but I have no idea how these get mounted and secured. I appreciate your time and help.
